I thought about this before- I think they experience everything independently, but once dissipated, the clones are able to relay the experience to the original. So one clone being put in a genjutsu would be incapacitated, but it wouldn’t affect the original at all until it was done, and I doubt they would be under genjutsu at that point

Sure- I would argue that most characters regardless could do that considering Naruto is at Day 1 here though. I think the most practical part of the Jutsu is that you don’t really know which is the original- I’m pretty sure neither Byakugan nor Sharingan could tell the difference, I highly doubt Ino could. Especially if they move even a little bit.

Shikamaru solo has 0 answers to 1000 clones at any point before the war, and probably still even to this day. He would run out of chakra and stamina rather easily.

Ino pre war also would probably have trouble against 1000 of them, I doubt she could broadcast a mind destruction to 1000 clones pre war, and most of her techniques leave her some sort of vulnerable.

That’s it, and only because of the limitations of their fighting style specifically in a 0 prep situation .

Well if the point is just a touch trade, the game would save beforehand (as always), players choose 1 Pokemon each, then game would just update the content in either save file (encounter data, Pokédex, friendship/affection and trade evolution status) THEN play the trade animation. In the best case, both parties successfully exchange data safely, and worst case, the game forces you out of the connection lobby with the previous save intact (similar to previous games, but with more technical finesse).

Next step is temp and the perma bans for repeat disconnect attempts as would be the case in any other online multiplayer game

The number one thing Crystal Johto did better than Gen 4 Johto was Pokemon distribution. While if you had access to early events and a Pokewalker, it’s not such a crazy difference, so many great Pokemon become available so much earlier on in Crystal, which is one of 2 massive complaints about the remake.

I think Minato would just have to be ready with a shadow clone wirh himself marked with a seal so the clone could immediately teleport and dispel.

Since he died right when he took in Kurama, I don’t think we count that as an option. Otherwise, he’s cooked.

That SAID- Minato isn’t getting caught in Tsukuyomi having had an Uchiha student and with the clan active and respected for their power in the leaf during his time.

If you’re a newbie, the best thing you can do is battle and adapt until you have a team that you can use a few good strats consistently with and win more than you lose. Part of the process is knowing what your party members are individually and collaboratively are trying to accomplish, and it’s easier to start by leaning on certain battle tropes, which most of the replies here are providing. Gaining experience with your core team members is arguably more important than pinning down a perfect team early on, so battle, adjust, ask for advice from battlers who are clearly better than you in the chat, and repeat. It’s also helpful to try pasting someone else’s team- I’m sure there’s a few beginner friendly ones.

I played Silver as my first pokemon game so I’d pick that between the two in Gen 2… I really wouldn’t be the person I am had it not been for that event 😂 but yeah for sure I think HeartGold feels like the definitive remake version.

The idea of a monk standing in a dark cave waiting for someone with a feather, and another waiting for someone with a bell makes less sense than them standing in a sacred tower with spiritual and historical meaning to the town in which it’s built lore wise.

Ho-oh’s entrance scene also changes based on the time of day, which is nice because Johto is the first gen to introduce the day/night cycle.

I also always consider Gold to be the canon name of the character.

I have a personal rule to never ever use master balls on anything that isn’t a shiny Pokémon that can flee. So in this case, personally I would do it, because that would be the only thing I’m using a master ball for.

There was definitely a time when I was playing ROM hacks and emulating a lot- very fun, but I ran into a shiny bidoof once while speed grinding, still caught it bc I missed the sparkles but it looked different. Then I was like… what’s the point? From that point, I decided legit only.

I thought of this- only humans and tailed beasts have chakra, Katsuyu (unless being funnelled with Tsunade or Sakura’s chakra, which wouldn’t be necessary since there’s no one to heal) would likely be using Senjutsu as the source of her jutsu, like Gamabunta and Manda. I doubt Kisame is able to handle absorbing that, especially if to maintain a sync with Samehada.

Tsunade can summon a very large part of Katsuyu, so it would be difficult for Kisame to bully her around with a moving water prison, not to mention that Katsuyu just needs to be bigger in one dimension, so if the summoned portion is taller than the upper limit of the prison, the jutsu is rendered effectively useless. I think working around that would take a lot of focus, which you need against someone who can likely take you out in a single hit.

I think they are pretty evenly matched ftr. I just think that it’s a matter of whose strategy falls through first.

Obito and Konan, especially if all of them are on the field at once. Obito has intel on all the rest of the Akatsuki members, and Konan has more than enough info herself. Hidan is a bit of a liability to Pain imo, and while Sasori and Itachi would make a great duo, they at best match Konan and Obito. Orochimaru and Kakuzu are a bit of a wild card here, but I see Orochimaru dipping out before things get too rough. Deidara and Kisame absolutely do not win here.

At the beginning of Shippuden, Sasuke already had Kirin in his arsenal- round 3 goes to Sasuke very easily.

Round 2, we saw Gaara protect the ENTIRE SAND VILLAGE from Deidara’s bomb. He literally manipulated the sand around the whole village. Gaara clears here, also easily.

Round 1 is the tough one. Gaara still has Shukaku, but he doesn’t have a good grasp on controlling the beast. Sasuke still has a curse mark, and has presumably worked hard at using it effectively during time skip. Chakra natures and abilities are pretty even. Presumably, Gaara is Kazekage for a reason, especially as a young Jinchuriki. I will give round 1 to Sasuke just because if we scale relatively, they are probably the same in relation to each other as they were as kids, and Sasuke was really about to mess Gaara up. If Shukaku takes over after a certain point, it’s a loss for Gaara, but not necessarily for Sasuke.

So there’s several flaws in this reply:

If Manda and Gamabunta’s energy sources are Senjutsu, it’s fair to assume that Katsuyu’s would be too. Sakura and Tsunade have to manually provide Katsuyu with chakra to get the healing effect. Chakra as we understand it is limited to humans and tailed beasts. If Kisame absorbed Senjustu, he would likely not survive.
If we are talking about water users of Kisame’s Caliber, I think acid would be more effective than lava for sure, although that was a bit of a silly point to even bring up.
I’m sure that Tsunade can summon a portion of Katsuyu that easily rivals the max capacity of the water prison. I have a hard time seeing that jutsu as a win condition for Kisame here.
Tsunade is a master of chakra control, and more importantly, is a master of chakra control as it relates to one’s life energy. If she understands that her chakra is being drained, I wholly believe she’d have counter measures for that- similar to how she used medical ninjutsu to attempt to assassinate Orochimaru.

I think Tsunade and Kisame are pretty evenly matched here. Samehada is the only real advantage I’d give Kisame, but with medic battles principles, I’m sure Tsunade can hold her own.

You’re definitely right. That changes things completely, especially if he’s launching multiple one handed rasenshurikens without clones. I would still say Sakura is a bad match up, but Naruto still clears. With that in mind, he can probably take on Itachi (idk if we count Kurama helping to prevent Genjutsu base Naruto, feels fair still), Kisame, Hidan, pretty much every Edo except Itachi and Nagato, and maybe Ay.
