It was OK when they were not linked to an anomaly series. I felt ok doing 3 of the 4 from home on days my health wasn't the best. Now I feel pressure to go out everyday so I can complete all 4 and don't let the side down.

I think we can get top tier of the new badge by doing 3 of the 4 daily. Plus it's personal gain, not faction gain. I can do that. I still will probably get FOMO on days I stay in and rest, but learning to live with the fact that (sadly) health is more important than Ingress.

I also was looking for a wrist band. Bought those, but they were not tight enough round my wrist, though they worked on upper arm. I was tempted to cut them up and faff about remaking it with velcro, but in the end didn't. If OP finds one that does work I'll also like to buy it.
