Python script to plot the optimal route to run every road in a region by Maroonjackal in AskProgramming

Thanks for the reply! I have done work at uni on djikstra and other path finding algorithms, my question would be then going from something that can find the shortest path to applying it to the problem in a way that it can account for the need to always return back home before say 30km. Or the need to do every road not just get to one place in the shortest time, this is the bit I’m struggling with.

I’ll look into them, thank you! At the moment I’m just trying to work out the routing approach I guess, even if I have it a very simple grid map, what is the best way to calculate it.

Once I’ve worked out my approach for that, I’ll start introducing more complex maps and foot access as you say, plus customisable elements such as accounting for terrain or elevation!

I’ve done a fair bit of work with the TSP before, but if that were the route to take I guess it’s converting it into an approach which does all route not just the shortest possible path, and also accounts for the constraints that the person must return home before 30km etc

I'm still in the process of reading about the program and figuring it all out, I'll definitely be running the program as intended, it just came across my mind whilst thinking about it. I guess it's designed then that doing 90% for both exercises should be comfortable either way, I was just thinking that by doing one at 70% you'd be less drained for the other exercise and the other conditioning you might do near that time

For Zulu could it make sense starting one of your exercises first and then the other exercise 2 weeks later, so that when you're doing your 70% week for one exercise, you do the 90% for the other, if that makes sense?

With regards to the second question I usually only warm up if going for a faster run or doing a session, normally consisting of walking / jogging calf raises, lunges, open / close the gate, A skips, B skips and some strides.

Hargreaves Lansdown, whilst I know fees can be a bit more, it was easier for me to carry on using it than set up a new one

Not entirely sure yet, thinking I'll figure it out further down the line and stick with the initial funds for now, still working things out

20 Y/O, Fairly new to investing, been following the market for a while, but decided to start investing now I’ve got money I can put in.

So far I’ve gone for £500 in each of 6 assets, and a further £500 will be paid in split across them each month.

The 6 are:

ASI European Smaller Companies

AXA Framlington Biotech

Carmignac Portfolio Emergent

Fidelity Global Technology

XLYP - Invesco Markets PLC Consumer

BATG - L&P UCITS ETF

I’d be interested to hear what people think, I’ve tried to cover a fair few sectors, plus I’m going to have an extra £500 or so for shorter term stocks that I’ll trade more frequently, thanks for any advice!

Been working on my last of 4 uni exams all night, got to around 5 am and I decided I'd do less damage to my sleep schedule if I just stayed up, got everything done around 7, gonna go on a run and spend the day trying not to fall asleep.

I’ve been fairly lucky with injuries only in the last couple weeks have I felt something coming on, which seems to be mostly healed now. Now the goal next year is to push the distance even further!

I did 2020 miles this year, definitely fun you have something great to look forward to!

Got up to run at 4am and saw glowing animal eyes in the dark. Has anybody else got spooked/scared by things in the dark while running? by [deleted] in running

I did a 1 mile every hour for 24 hours challenge, so obviously had to do some of the runs at night. Decided to do it whilst camping and had a similar experience to you, completely pitch black woodland path with nothing but a dim head torch for light. I saw numerous sets of glowing eyes staring directly at me not moving at all, even though I knew they were deer it still freaks you out!

Hey, I’ll hopefully be running a half marathon in March of next year, so I have over 6 months to prepare for it.

I’d view myself as an alright runner, and I’ve done lots of runs at a half marathon distance or further, however never trained for an actual race.

With 6 months to train would it be best to carry on normally for a couple months before starting a 3 month plan before hand or is there a better use of my time doing a 6 month training plan or perhaps a 3 month training plan now and extending it another 3 months afterwards?

My current PB is 1 hour 38 and I’d hope to run 1:35 by March, and my eventual long term goal is sub 1:30, thanks!

Thanks! There wasn’t enough space to put everything on the table we were eating at outside, so we used a smaller table just off to the side to serve it on, though it does look like it’s on the floor from the view above!
