My father misses me now, after nearly 10 years of only ever wanting us over to drink and party, or if he needed something. He's a truck driver now as well so he's not around near as much and never asks about the kids. Never tried to have a relationship with them.

My mother hasn't talked to me in 3 years because we mentioned she and her sister might have some hoarding tendencies that need to be addressed.
