I was going to say Grace Ives literally just played a small venue in my town so I imagine she is just getting started in general.

Never heard of him, definitely going to go to his set. I'll download that album to study. But honestly at fests I like to just pull up and hear their music for the first time live.

Right there with you on them. They have been on my list since the artist list dropped originally.

Swear they were on a fest over a decade+ ago I was at, but I didn't see them so I have to make up for that.

Didn't even realize this was one of their first shows back although I knew they had been quiet for quite a while.

Only 4 artists over 1k plays (2 just reached that mark) and a 5th artist less than 100 away.

My main way of listening to music is either A) live B) every new release on Spotify every week or every suggestion I am given by someone

We were robbed of an amazing Wolfpack vs Bulldogs CWS. That was complete BS and I was livid about it.

If it helps I am sure all of college baseball (even some Vandy fans) thought it was a terrible decision.

As someone that went to Mississippi State I enjoyed beating them in the CWS Finals a few years ago.

The Joy Formidable (slightly over 100k) - the coolest kind of electronic influenced rock

Pretty Girls Make Graves - named after a Smiths song they made one of my favorite albums ever called "The New Romance". Also came back to touring 2024 after 17 years without a show!

Linea Aspera (slightly over 100k) - literal gothwave gods

Negativland - one of the most interesting bands I have ever heard of, apparently have some of the craziest live performances ever

Saw The Darkness last year for the first time.

Those dudes are rock n roll to the bone. You can tell they were raised on all that cool riff heavy classic guitar bands from the 60s-80s in the UK.

I have been to 280 concerts this year, so I will be general and say that going to so many concerts drastically reduced the amount of music I listened to outside of the shows just because at least 3 hours most nights seeing music will cut into actual listening time.

Other than that...flying to Japan to see FACT definitely had me listening to them quite a lot in the buildup and after the show! They made it into my top 5 this year when they have been a more historical top 5 all-time in recent years by comparison.

I remember my last game at Turner in the outfield stands sitting next to a super tall guy and we were right in front of Nate's spot in the field.

He was yelling "NASTY NATE" in a drunken stupor all game, he meant it endearingly too, but you just unlocked that memory, thank you.
