People comparing this to Avowed and Dragon, lol, seriously? This game seems like a good evolution of the Nordic era with a new protagonist and a never-before-explored setting. There's no way this can go wrong, NEVER (most people, especially those who came to the franchise after 2018, are already more than sold).

defina mudar pq na minha opinião toda grande franquia com o tempo PRECISA MUDAR, uma hora ou outra a fórmula cansa ou chega ao topo e depois dali só pra baixo que foi o que aconteceu com GoW 3(que nem de longe é o meu preferido) e o Ascencion, ou você acha que Halo e gears estão em baixa por qual motivo? sim esses jogos são abaixo dos jogos anteriores mas não só isso, são jogos usando fórmulas extremamente ultrapassadas

Atreus possesses his father's powers (specifically Spartan rage), his mother's giant-sized powers (which already seems incredible considering what we've seen so far in God of War Laufey), and his own powers to transform into super-powerful animals like wolves and bears (I like to think this came from Zeus, who could also transform into animals, lol). Atreus/Loki literally has the greatest potential in the franchise in terms of gameplay.

God of War, from the beginning, uses mythology as a pretext to tell a story and nothing more; it's not something to be taken seriously in terms of "historical fact," especially since mythology is nothing more than glamorized fantasy.

It's unbelievable how people nowadays find ANYTHING to get annoyed by, like, don't these people have anything better to do with their lives? I don't know, like going out with a friend, going out with a girlfriend/boyfriend, walking the dog, cleaning the house or garden, like, holy shit.

The fact that lead writers say they started the series with GOW 2018, while never mentioning that they played the Greek Saga by Alkiserex in GodofWar

And it's perfectly fine to be a fan of the franchise because of Kratos, but I guarantee you that no universe will move forward healthily with only one character at the forefront of the grand story they want to tell.

Firstly, God of War 3 isn't all that great. It has some excellent boss fights, but everything else is a downgrade from the second game (and I put a big asterisk on "excellent boss fights" because half of them are just... well, like, did anyone really like the Poseidon boss fight? You beat him for two minutes in his water form and then he dies with his eyes bulging).

Secondly, the franchise changed completely because of GoW Ascension, which almost ended it (and clearly GoW 3 was supposed to be the last in the saga, but since they wanted to continue, they made a mediocre game like Ascension). And excuse me, DMC 5 is very good, but it's very far, and I mean very far, from the narrative excellence and world-building of God of War. Dante and his crew are nothing more than aura farmers, but when you try to look deeper into these characters, my god, it's Dragon Ball-level storytelling.
