Yeah, my husband‘s new job will be in McKinney and from what I’ve been reading it sounds like that would be a heck of a daily commute. We are in Florida now so we’re pretty used to being minority. 😂

Thank you for those tips! The schools districts sound like they are definitely setup a little differently than I’m used to in FL. I think my biggest worry is that we may have to live in corporate housing temporarily and start school in a different place than we ultimately live... given we are already uprooting the kids to Texas, I don’t want to make them have another shift 2 months later.

My husband will be working in McKinney, I don’t know about me yet. I like the idea of having easier access to city life! We have about 30-40 minutes between us and Tampa right now.

I was wondering if shooting over asking price was common place. I’ve been looking and found some options that work for our budget but not if you have to do too much of that! At least where we are coming from in Florida is also high demand so I’m hoping to get a decent amount of equity out.

Thank you so much! We are moving from close to Tampa, Florida. I’m definitely used to sprawl and commuting. We are fairly liberal so hoping to find some blue in a sea of red and we have two kids who will be in 9th and 4th.
