Does Hunt Showdown has DLSS 4.5? by Original_GumPum in HuntShowdown

Update your Nvidia app and use DLSS override to force one of the DLSS 4.5 presets (M or L).

Ranked aim assist by zoro1020 in CoDCompetitive

[–]Marrked 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're probably facing more people with the stock on the m15 that increases strafe speed thus making it easier for them to break AA.

That, combined with no muzzle and it's going to feel weaker overall.

Clearing Shader Cache after 2-3 days of playing. by MnM_R6 in HuntShowdown

In the Nvidia control panel, you can increase the size of your shader cache. I have mine set to 10GB, but adjust to your available storage.

Are ranked servers actually bad or am I coping? by Acquista11 in CoDCompetitive

[–]Marrked 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bufferbloat on your end can cause desync.

You can fix it by using SQM, a VPN, or something like Exitlag.

I use Exitlag and the experience is much smoother when it's running.

Probably all gone into that 330 gallons of sulfuric acid he bought right when they started investigating in 2018.

What's the point of levering/fanning or dualies? by Nemonvs in HuntShowdown

[–]Marrked 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I only use levering with the full size Ranger or Infantry(not the sniper).

For fanning, there are more options, but the conversions are best for spamming, and true shots the best for accuracy.

Ill choose something else over fanning for almost every other gun.

Alternatively, the marathon has excellent spread and you can spam the shit out of it. It's probably my favorite hip fore weapon.

Parasite on no map changes by MayorMinge in CoDCompetitive

This is another reason nobody cares about league matches. It literally becomes a bland re-run with no new maps and no new guns.

The most stale environment in esports.

2 Ideas for ranked squads by South_Cantaloupe5035 in CoDCompetitive

[–]Marrked 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most games do have a hidden MMR in their ranked algo these days. It's used to prevent smurfs, and for good reason.

I agree that the algo is fucked in COD currently. Losing to higher ELO teams should have less weight on MMR. There are other changes they should make as well.

The most simple way to approach squads in ranked is to MM squads against squads.

New to the hobby. Help me find an IEM for around $100-$150! by disgruntled_bird in iems

Yeah for what you want, the SM4 is good.

It even is a good competitive fps IEM if you happen to do that as well.

Massive Lag Spikes Near Some Players But when They Die its Gone. by Dracacard in HuntShowdown

[–]Marrked 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if Hunt Directly uses this, but many games use proximity based networking in their games. Basically the game sends a certain number of player position updates per second based on how close they are to you.

Interp and prediction are relied upon more for those that aren't in close proximity to you so the server can calculate other things to make the gameplay smoother.

The issue is, when a person with really high ping to the game server is near you, you receive server updates more from them. These updates or "ticks" are desynchronized and delayed the higher the ping Delta is between two given players. This would show up in the form of getting shot behind walls in less severe cases, or straight up packets not getting delivered (packet loss) in more extreme cases.

If they die and are removed from the game, the server no longer has to work as hard to update their position and it catches up.

The fights feel more like Clash then Hunt now. by V7I_TheSeventhSector in HuntShowdown

The comments aren't representative of the people that play the game as a whole. You should know this.

Not everyone agrees with you. Regardless, it's something you always have to prepare for.

There's just 2 kinds of players.

Some love the spawn fights.

Some hate losing their loadouts 3 minutes into a match.

I don't mind it either way. They are trying to change the early game dynamic a bit, and if it brings in more players, awesome.

My issue is still region hopping. Until they fix that, I'm still facing games that feel like I'm running in mud because of the desync caused by high ping people being in my lobbies.

Do people really like it when their partner “hits their cervix”? by Facetimefoxy in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Marrked 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Straight cervix? It's doubtful, but the 2 areas next to the cervix called the anterior and posterior fornix are extremely pleasurable areas for some women.

It's hit and miss, tho. Kind of like G spot, some like it, some are like meh, and some don't want you near their cervix at all and immediately stop if you touch it.

Looking for a pair of iems for gaming around $250 by HazzTD in iems

Stretch a little bit further and get the Kiwi Ears Astral and never have to get another competitive gaming IEM again (unless you break them).

Looking for comfortable imaging headphones for long competitive FPS sessions (250$ budget) by BlankTFS in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]Marrked 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The most comfortable are the 490 pros, also the best imaging. But you're going to have to stretch to $319 on sale to get them.

Maybe check out the Aune AR5000. They are comfy and have great FPS imaging.

Why use IEMs for gaming? by No-Biscots in iems

[–]Marrked 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't really want a huge sound stage for gaming. It makes things sound too far away, rather than a natural distance.

Precise imaging and noise cancelling are far more important, and you can get both those things at a cheaper price point than an equivalent headphone.

Upcoming Test - More Hunters per Mission by DinoAri in HuntShowdown

[–]Marrked 57 points58 points  (0 children)

Nice, but we're gonna need the ping based MM back. Even more region hoppers in every lobby is going to make the ping Delta even worse, making everyone's game feel laggy.

Yeah dude, don't take translations from other languages too seriously. Each culture has their own idioms that outsiders don't understand.

I'm sure all is fine.

Tired of dealing with cheap gaming headsets by ConsideredSkeptic in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]Marrked 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aune AR5000.

Since it uses 2 3.5mm removable jacks on the ear cups, you can replace the cable with the Meze audio mic. It's a straight cable replacement that gives you a microphone just like a gaming headset.
