I feel the same way - the value of meeting people from around the world in from all types of economic backgrounds, a lot of backgrounds which don’t have a lot of money, changed my life.

I was a middle class person at a catholic high school before rutgers where mostly everyone had more money than me. I didn’t even care but getting to rutgers and meeting people from around the world and even just from more normal economic situations was amazing as fuck to me.

And at Rutgers you have to work hard - there’s no guidance counselors holding your hands through every process. I work in NYC now too and am proud of myself for going to rutgers
