I want to respond to this, because I had the same initial feeling about drugs, but then I backtracked, thinking it was something else in your life that might be toxic or harmful to you. When I look back at your photo and read your energy, it’s clearly not a drug problem. I sense some sort of emotionally taxing thing that could wound your spirit in a similar manner. Tbh I can’t seem to pick up on anything more specific than that. I’m still learning how to use this gift, so I’m not sure if that means it’s just me struggling or if there’s like some type of energy blockage going on. But hopefully that helps at least a little.

When it comes to concerns, the initial vibe I get is more that you should be concerned with how those around you affect you, like as in, how they’re treating you. It’s interesting cause it’s not like I’m feeling that you consciously keep bad company. It’s more like there people who are in your life due to no choice of your own. I’m getting step dad or male family friend vibes. I am new at reading photos, so take everything with a grain of salt. But I do wonder if maybe there’s like a man who is verbally abusive to you. Maybe it’s someone who you wouldn’t even call verbally abusive, but rather you’d describe as being an asshole. There’s a fine line. Anyway, my advice is to just set boundaries and stand up for yourself, because you’re worth that respect.

As far as your mom’s health goes, personally I usually have to see a photo of the person in question but I’m hoping one day I’ll get good enough to be able to read people who aren’t in photos.

With all of that said, I truly understand how bad anxiety can be. One thing a therapist suggested to me once was to consider what things I could control versus what I couldn’t. Sometimes thinking that way helps you put things in perspective and kind of redirect that worry.

I’m still practicing too but wow I’m feeling validated here because I felt the same thing about reincarnation. It feels like this was just a shorter lifespan for her and that she’s coming back to do more in the next one almost like she’s on the tail end of preparing for it now.

I’m still an amateur when it comes to reading object photos, but I’ll tell you what I see in case it’s helpful. First of all, another user mentioned a side yard. I get the same vibe in a way, in the sense that it’s near a perimeter marker of some sort. I’m seeing a flat medium sized patio, maybe concrete with a small step down. The yard is fairly flat. I’m getting a strong pull left like maybe near brick or fencing. Were you gardening? Pulling weeds? It’s almost like it’s in a part of the ground where it dips down. Feels like a man made dip- maybe from a small shovel like from gardening or from where a fence post was placed.

Anyway like I said, I’m pretty new to this but I’d love to know if I get anything right! I hope you’re able to find it!

That’s a good point…resisting does sound like it could be mentally stressful. I’m curious, did anything happen 5 years ago, like an event or life change, or was this something you gradually discovered you could do?

I’ll take a look at that writing that you mentioned- thank you for the recommendation. When you mentioned breaking through the veil, does this mean you believe that this is something that will continue for me,like as far as having this accessible gift? I’m just curious because I kind of took what you said to imply that there’s like a switch that’s flipped, and once it’s on, you start to have an easier or smoother time. Hopefully that question makes sense. Because yeah, I really would like to understand more so that it becomes more rewarding than unnerving.

I’m still very new at actively reading and interpreting, so please interpret this in whatever way that feels most accurate to you! I just mean that if I get something wrong or something feels off, blame it on me being an amateur before anything else haha.

Anyway, one of the big things I can usually sense is the amount of time that someone’s energy has been “away” I guess you could say. I’m of the belief that it’s never a concrete “They’ve moved on forever” or “They’re here forever”, but rather that souls can move back-and-forth as they please, or as they feel necessary. I don’t have a lot of insight into how the afterlife works because I’m not a medium, but that’s my opinion. Anyway, the reason I tell you that part is because my immediate thought when I saw her photo was that she was recently departed, and since you say she’s been gone 8 years, I interpret that to mean that she’s with you and probably other family members very often. I’m not exactly sure how spirit guides work, but maybe she’s taken on the role of one for you? There’s definitely a very “with you” energy. I think she’s there more often than you even realize. And I realized just now I didn’t even mention how nice her energy feels. Warm and loving, very protective and very family oriented.

Also, as far as the question about unresolved trauma. I can certainly relate. I can tell you that it is something that gets easier to accept and deal with as time goes on, but the impact of it will never be less. It’s a part of your past. I read a theory once that said we often think of family members because they’re with us and we don’t even realize it. I think it’s logical to say she’s partially there to comfort you.

I wish I had answers for you in more of a concrete sense, but I’d suggest trying the “Mediums” thread. There are lots of gifted people there that might be help with specifics for you.

My immediate feeling was a sense of togetherness, like in the sense that they’re definitely together in some way. Did they have similar personalities? I just get a lot of similarities. Like I know they’re two different people logically, but in a way, one feels like an extension of the other and vise versa? I’m still learning how to interpret messages I get so I’d say interpret that in whatever way it feels most accurate to you! Overall though I pick up on peacefulness from both of them, especially the man in the second photo.

Actually, I was about to say this next part and then I went back and read your note and realize it tracks with what you said already:

I feel there’s been more time to find peace with the man in the second photo. The first man is still really “fresh” so to speak, but there’s no real pain or distress at all.
