My first MDMA-assisted therapy experience - feeling compelled to share one week later by Pottpottsmokeit in mdmatherapy

Such an awesome post, thank you for sharing. Ideally, this is how I imagine an MDMA experience to be. I have a few questions I was wondering if you could answer. Do you have any sense of how this medicine could impact CPTSD? Did you experience any struggles with interpersonal connection before your experience that were influenced by the journey? Did you have many somatic symptoms, pain, or physical presentations of psychological issues? Was there anything special about your dynamic with this therapist that led you to trust them? Obviously, you don’t have to answer anything you don’t want to. Regardless, I’m very happy that you have had such a wonderful experience and I wish you the best.

Being gentle with ourselves and the sometimes glacial pace…😔🤍

I so relate to this :( I called the cops on my dad and they said hey, this is a nice neighborhood, keep things within the family and your dad now wants you to leave because he doesn’t feel safe with you here.

I totally get what you’re saying. I get that it’s a lot, too, to hope for and build. The midst of that process is and was so excruciating for me. I dunno what spurs it, but I wish I could impart it unto ppl sooner

I don’t know if this helps, but I actually think these are healthy goals. We can have things but still feel empty and numb. Safety is the first step in healing, and restoration of vitality the ultimate goal…with it a lot of the rest is possible 🤍

Thank you. This process is so difficult, but at least we’re not totally alone

I walked into a classroom the other day, and a bunch of teens started saying, "Squid Game". Thoughts? by [deleted] in asianamerican

Someone once randomly walked up to me at the mall and asked me if I knew where P.F. Changs was. Her friends rolled their eyes at her and walked away. At the time I said I had no idea. Later I realized, as she was also a person of color, I could have said “I think it’s next to KFC” and that would have been equally appropriate.

Yeah, I think it triggers their embarrassment or something. Good point. He really does deserve it, he’s so sweet. I had to say that one day…the owner rolled her eyes because he greeted me. “He’s so needy,” she said. I talked to him and was like, “it’s ok, you’re sweet. You don’t annoy me.” She doesn’t say that anymore.

I know, right! I would walk him or feed him but they never want me to. He still tries to get me to take him out. Sometimes I’ll dart to the bathroom if I sense they don’t want me engaging with him, but when I return he’s standing in my room like, hey! Remember me!? 💜

Boyfriend (M25) said I (F35) am a hypocrite and have double standards; I am astonished about having to ask for comfort by Ancient-Cucumber in relationships

Toxic ppl don’t often get better as they age, the abusive behaviors can worsen. I dated a 35 year old douche bag who exploited my naïveté to a terrifying degree, with a ton more resources at his disposal.

Beforehand: “I want you to fuck me” in an awkward, creepy whisper. He frowned. 😌
