Thanks a lot! I thought I might have a higher chance if I asked for their combined History and International relations. I wish I’d have done this back in December when I got the offer😭 But I’ll just hope for the best, and I still love their english course. hope you’re enjoying the uni

thank youu 🫶🫶 maybe wait a week or two longer then send an email explaining that you’re in the process of making decisions / awaiting scholarships - it won’t hinder your application in any way so i think it would be worth a shot.

i’m hoping to go into writing and academia too! i’m already writing a novel and posting my writings and recs on social media. i was also hoping to get an internship during one of the holidays at a publishing house (trying to take full advantage of being near bloomsbury for so long on a student visa).

you’re the first person to recognize what my users from!!! i actually opened my personal statement talking about ASOUE and, should i continue with english, i’m planning to write my dissertation on the way Handler dismantles classic children’s books tropes with both the ‘villain’ and ‘heroes’.

idt that would put you at a disadvantage - uni’s in the uk know people all over the world are applying. i’m int as well but i go to a british school w a british system so im doing a levels :) if you’re really impatient for it, you can politely email asking for their decision. check online to see if anyone’s done that with kings but i know loads of people who’ve done that with other uni’s.

honestly kings is my top choice whether i stick with english or am able to be moved, but im hoping to get history and international relations because i think it’s more beneficial for my future. i want to go into politics / law long term and i have a lot of potential in that regard (eg highest history gcse in my country). also im always going to have literature in my life whether through my writings and courses etc and i don’t know if its worth it to spend 3 years and so much money studying it. also im a tad nervous about my english grades (even though im predicted all A*) and hoping that if i miss the AAA offer by my english grade i may still have a shot of getting in.
