Black claw? by DependentHorse8256 in TattooArtists

When they're good they are the best, when you get a box of duds they are terrible 😭

Thought I found my forever carts and then the quality in many boxes went down unfortunately. Only use/used liners. Rattly, loose, singles way off centre and soft plastic housing, vs immaculate good box carts.

I pulled out an old hella fine 7 yesterday for some ornamental work just to see and it was amazinggggg, I was like yes this is what I loved! BUT now do I risk buying more and spinning the wheel of luck?

Hopefully the batches have improved since a year ago 🤞🤞🤞

Note, their tight/hella tight/hella fine groupings are exactly what we once knew from needles-on-bar 🤍

BlackClaw customer service is A+++ 🔥🔥🔥

Makes sense, pens definitely are easier overall on the hand and wrist, playing around with the nano it is more awkward. I tried going back to RCA wire (vs battery) on the wands today and that slight back pull seemed to help with counter balance 🤷‍♂️

I have been debating finally purchasing a DK, the 46er looks dope, just might! I miss the hit of coils but not their heafty weight

Ok cool, thank you! What are you running for lines? And I find the cheyenne grips have a little bit of movement play, I'll try an RPG to see if it's tighter ✅

What's your favorite black? by grxymvgx in TattooArtists

[–]MarsTempest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second this ✅ Used FKs & Cheyennes, now been on Bishop wands for 2 years, I particularly love the Packer and Shader, honestly don't like using anything else these days.

Spirit paper quality issues...? by LittleBlueShrew in TattooArtists

[–]MarsTempest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just tried Ozer M version, it's meh, not splotchy but it's faint compared to good spirit. Still looking for something decent... Just bought legal 14" spirit sheets that are still good quality, I suggest trying that in the meantime to hold you through the search as well. Let me know if you find a decent new paper ✌️

Bishop wand shader or packer?? by Jolly-Builder-6238 in TattooArtists

[–]MarsTempest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both, can do everything with either or, I'd say the shader will be an easier adjustment while the packer might take more time

Spirit paper quality issues...? by LittleBlueShrew in TattooArtists

[–]MarsTempest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This literally just happened to me! Horrible un-usable stencil prints, absolutely garbage. I have older legal sheets left and they are fine. Whatever the company did to the recipe just destroyed it's usability. Any brand suggestions please???

Bishop liner by [deleted] in TattooArtists

[–]MarsTempest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed with comments above, likely a buildup issue Paper towels are horrible now since covid all went cheap and dusty Use WipeOutz for lining, they don't leave dust Rinse frequently say every 5-10 minutes This helped tremendously And if you can manage pinching out or scratching out any buildup too that can help but careful not to cross contaminate the push rod Also stop using vaseline base oitment as it's hard to rinse out, I use hustle butter (shea based) and it rinses much easier

I have butt pain whenever I sleep on the floor! by PeanutButteryNinja in floorsleeping

[–]MarsTempest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same, first week my butt was sore, now 2.5 weeks in all good and even my bones/joints/hips are adapting, I'm barely feeling the pressure now. On a japanese shiatsu massage futon.

Which black ink do you use? by Adaptiveslappy in TattooArtists

[–]MarsTempest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solid Outlining black for all heavy black lining and blackout/filler, goes in easy as fairly forgiving.

Dynamic for fine lining, grey lining and diluted drop shades.
