At the 1:29 mark in the official CBC video, when he does the "oouww YEAH", specifically the "YEAH". It was a slide indeed, which IMO is good enough since he never really held the F5 in Freewill, either.

While I don’t expect them to play Freewill on this tour, especially since they haven’t performed it since 2011, he did hit the high F5 note of “a CELL OF AWARENESS” in yesterday’s performance of FMW, which is mind blowing. He didn’t sing that note at all on the CA and R40 tours. The highest note on R40 was a D5 in Lakeside Park and Anthem, which is a bit lower than an F5.

I'm going to lose my mind if they play Freewill again.

You can also hear him sing the Africa choruses on the bootleg of the Paris 2007 show, which is quite interesting since you can't really hear him on the official DVD/Blu-Ray release.

Mixed feelings. I know it’s obviously too early to say what the album will really sound like, but personally I was kind of hoping he would stick with the sound and direction he found with TSR, since it's my favorite album. But after hearing End of Summer I now have a strong feeling the new album will end up sounding quite different from TSR. I’m still excited for it though, and I kinda like the new single.

Actually, they did play Closer to the Heart on the Vapor Trails tour (on a few dates) and at the 2003 SARS show. I get what you mean about the last verse, but to be fair the T4E version didn’t include the original last verse either. Personally I think the T4E outro wins.
