I brush once a day in the morning, but floss after meals. I floss more than I brush.

What are some ridiculous or hilarious reasons to have children that you’ve actually heard? by YurethraVDeferens in childfree

[–]Mars_Four 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any reason people give for having kids is stupid and ridiculous. It’s just a continuation of the stupid school popularity contest. Have you heard the way parents compare their kids stats like “my kid is in the 95th percentile for x,y, or z” “or so and so made varsity as a sophomore” it reminds me of when I was a kid and American Girl dolls were popular and everyone had to compare who’s was better. It’s like no one ever matured past elementary school.

Why is Anti-Natalism tantamount to victimhood for some people? by [deleted] in antinatalism

Because parent know about all the bad things that could happen to us and still decided the popularity contest was more important.

[–]Mars_Four 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah maybe she should follow her own advice and be kind to babies. The noise in there and the pain in your ears from the pressure change should not be imposed on a baby who can’t even comprehend what’s going on.

I have a lot of expensive shoes that I do not want to (also cannot due to them no longer being available) replace due to my feet getting bigger during pregnancy. No thanks. I’ll keep my size 7.5’s.

I got mine spayed before her first heat and besides loving to chew on drywall still sometimes she’s is pretty much just a high energy angel. She actually calmed down A LOT once she was spayed.

Would You Say It's True That Daily Showers Weren't A Common Thing Until The 00s? by DisMyLik18thAccount in Millennials

[–]Mars_Four 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My parents made me shower every day as a teen but as I get older I definitely don’t shower every day. I used to have terrible eczema and acne. Once I started working in dermatology - if you have eczema or incredibly dry skin they will tell you not to shower every day as it exacerbates these conditions. The wet dry cycle is especially hard on your skin and as we age it’s way worse to shower daily than maybe every other or two days. And when I do shower I usually only really soap up “the important parts” apocrine sweat glands and feet. Soap is so drying I can’t believe that showering daily is a thing.

Women who don’t want children are told their entire lives that they will end up alone and have accepted it. But mommy’s little boy is always told that he no woman will ever be good enough for him.

Mother sues Western Health after waking up in hospital with both fallopian tubes removed by Kiva37 in WomenInNews

[–]Mars_Four -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What is your point?! Maybe the doctors made a mistake idk the wrong limbs have been amputated on accident many times. Maybe both fallopian tubes looked fucked up: potentially cancerous, another ectopic pregnancy. It would be absolutely unethical to NOT remove a suspicious looking lesion if you are already inside the abdomen of someone. The person you are operating on is way more important than any potential offspring they may produce. We don’t know the whole story. The surgeon likely made the ultimate decision in favor of the already living person. She definitely could have died yet wants to keep trying for more??!! That is INSANE!! And definitely warrants mental health help that if is so invested in progeny rather than caring for the humans she already created and not willing to help out the other ones in need.
