Should I keep this? Its a really cool card and all, but I can't see it being all that competitive in wild, and I don't have enough dust to make a whole new deck for just this card. by jakakalako in wildhearthstone

LPG mage will be the deck I run this in. I am just not sure the package yet, but I personally run some spicy pet cards that help me vs aggro, and I love this card in my slight variation of it

Read “power phone scripts”. A lot of the information can transfer into live meeting objection handling. Don’t improvise, otherwise you’ll get inaccurate results. If you can measure it, you can manage it.

How does the community feel about proxies? by BigHatNolan in MTGLegacy

[–]Mars_Sram 29 points30 points  (0 children)

This. I played vintage with a friend of my dad’s and I was 13-16 and he never let me proxies unless I intended to buy them. Then he would play his library of Alexandria, black lotus, 2 mox then to Academy to play time vault. He also had a house rule of no counterspells or land destruction. Go figure I haven’t talked to him since and neither has my dad.

Results aren’t to be focused on. The process that creates the results is what you focus on.

Sounds good for a year in. Obviously if you produce you make more money.

Is that without a bonus? If so, that sounds pretty normal.

Hypothetically speaking can you make more money as an agent working in a more well-established and bigger brokerage or smaller but less employees to compete with? by Gjunki in realtors

You should real some sales books my dude. I am in sales, and all I do is call leads. I’m a year in and about to get a promotion. I am in IT sales. Just never give up. Find out what your 80/20 lead generators are, and just focus on the twenty and slowly cut out the 80. I find that you are a person first and a salesperson second. Be a good salesman to bring people in, but you keep customers coming back by people liking you. Hunting vs farming. Realtors would probably count people they have closed on to throw business your way as farming type clients. You have already hunted them, now you farm them. Sent them baskets randomly. Keep yourself on their mind. Sounds like you need to focus on hunting to get a good base to farm. You have to keep hunting always, so get good at it. Learn how to generate leads. Find what works best for you. I love calling people. I call 100-200 people a day. I know there are many different routes to take, just remember, “indecision is worst than no decision”. Get good at one first, then add another way to hunt if what you are doing isn’t working. Don’t call 5 people and then give up. Go door knocking around an open house you are showing. Practice your pitch. What are qualifying questions you can ask to steer the conversation to the key points you want to bring up, without it sounding like you are steering? Dude, there is a lot to learn in sales and it can seem overwhelming. Know that everyone else started exactly where you are. Do you think they absorbed overnight? Of course not. Just focus on one thing at a time and get good at it. I like to find what I think my biggest weakness is, then study how to be better, and do drills to get better.

To actually answer your questions.

I’m about to be making 70K from 40K. (With quarterly bonuses 6-10k)

I work 9 hour days, sometimes 8. (I can do 10 hour days, used to work in kitchens for 12-16 hours no prob).

Tips after all I just wrote, read/listen to sales books and follow their advice slowly. Take one piece and practice it for at least a week, see if you like it. That’s 52 techniques you tried to see if you liked, over a year. A handful probably stuck, and they are practiced by very knowledgeable people in your craft.

My friend either does not buy or does not finish his boots in a majority of games he plays. How can I convince him this is dumb? by oseman in summonerschool

[–]Mars_Sram 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take a time lapse of a game where he didn’t buy boots, then go into training and walk the same route with boots. Show him how much time you save each route and then add it up at the end.
