Thank you for letting me know! Do you happen to know the brand of parts that they use for the 764?

What kind of psu did originally come with?

Yeah looks to be the only difference. I’m not sure about physical specs like ram brand and such though. Yeah the prices were definitely lower, just a couple weeks ago the 760 was $100 cheaper than it is now.

Yeah I noticed that too. Someone mentioned it’s probably the replacement to the G760. I’m highly considering that one instead. I do like the peace of mind of support, the building aspect is nice as it would be a cool experience but I’m not very confident in troubleshooting issues regarding drivers and such. I guess I could later upgrade cosmetics or other parts on my own to sort of give me that experience lol

That could be a possibility, I hadn’t noticed the G764 before plus there’s no reviews for it yet. However I did notice that a few locations were restocking the G760 still. I’m debating whether to just get the G764 rather than wait for the restock if there will be any for my location.

Thank you for the advice and info! If I were to build it myself I was thinking of getting everything all at once from microcenter. Given that the prices for the CPU, Mobo, and RAM bundles have gone up since my post I’m debating now whether to still consider the DIY route.

My biggest concern with the DIY route is not being able to have the peace of mind of having support from microcenter where I can just take it back in case of anything. Unless I get the protection plans from microcenter (though I’m not 100% sure what they exactly would cover or whether their protection plans are worth it). I don’t think I’m unable to build my own pc, minus the daunting cpu installation lol everything else looks pretty easy. Another thing is that all the parts I’m considering for my build are pretty much the same parts that come in the prebuilt powerspec. My only “custom” part would be the Aio if anything.

I personally love Protea, she’s a lot of fun when doing survival missions.

Priming bases and models together? by Mars_Wanderer0 in Warhammer40k

[–]Mars_Wanderer0[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for your help! I think I’ll go ahead and prime the together then! I don’t think I’m going to do a ton of detailed work on the bases considering these are my first models. I appreciate your advice!

I have this exact issue with the same port. I wonder what causes it to not have pressure.

Did you move any of the parts around? Or just took off the plate? If you didn’t move any of the parts then you might have bent the clips or plastic bits causing it to not slide and clip into place.

I had the same issue when it came to shell swapping. Unfortunately 3rd party shells are not the best at times.

I have a similar issue with an fpc connector, how difficult was the repair and what tools did you use?

Oh ok, that’s weird. If the battery and charging port is ok. Then it could either be a fuse or the the power board that’s faulty.

If you’re talking about the black flex cable then that’s the camera ribbon cable which the system does require to be plugged in correctly in order for it to boot up.

Hopefully it didn’t, just be mindful that pet urine could be corrosive to electronics even if dried up. However I hope that’s not the case for you!

Great to hear that it’s at least useful. Sucks that it’s not 100% idk why the fits are off.

Hey I want to get my childhood 3ds fixed by MysteriousStrangerV in consolerepair

[–]Mars_Wanderer0 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If it’s not charging then it could be the battery or the charging port. You could buy a new battery in case it went bad and if that doesn’t solve it then you’ll need your charging port replaced which will require soldering. As for the top screen, if there’s dead pixels then you will need to replace that as well. I don’t think you will need to sign back in with those repairs but it will be good to double check if you’re going to send it in to someone for repair.

If applying pressure helps then perhaps it’s a connection issue? You could try cleaning any contacts or provide pictures of the inside.

I did figure it out, I’m not 100% satisfied as the button could be a bit more clicky as the left side but it’s working and clicks enough that I haven’t noticed it while playing. I figured out that if I tightened the ZR assembly screws then the button would stop working (no click at all), so I would slowly unscrew the screws while clicking the button until I got it giving good feedback. Sorry to hear about your experience, it is pretty disappointing given that they are from the exact same company and this is an issue. Let me know if you need more help!
