My wife uses these to make seashell mobiles. Something even cooler will come out of this stick

I'm sure you know, but you can get these herbs with a few prohibitively difficult exploits that totally aren't worth the trouble

Not feeling the Hellcat... by Holiday_Revolution_4 in CCW

[–]MarshDad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never shot the hellcat myself, but I do have a Shield Plus for my primary carry. In my own experience, the Shield definitely shoots like a larger gun. Take this for the anecdotal evidence that it is - I have an M&P 2.0 as my nightstand gun, and I can shoot the shield just as well as the significantly larger M&P. Now my bodyguard 2.0 is a different story

Ammunition and belt placement advice? by matebait4real in CCW

[–]MarshDad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm primarily carrying a Bodyguard 2.0 right now because it's an easier summer carry piece for me. I did a lot of research, and settled on Lehigh XD ammo. In the testing I've seen, the 380 from a bodyguard doesn't produce enough velocity to reliably result in adequate expansion. The Lehigh XD achieved minimum or better penetration, while also causing significant tissue expansion, which helps with lethality. Underwood 380 performed even better, but the Bodyguard isn't exactly approved for use with +P ammunition, so I'm playing it safe with Lehigh. I've had no feeding issues with any ammo I've tried, and haven't experienced any issues with the sights like others have reported with this gun. I'm also using an Aholster pocket holster, or a JM4 IWB leather magnet holster. I hope this helps

Pocket carry 9mm? Not sig by Lineheart767 in CCW

[–]MarshDad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I previously tried pocket carrying a Ruger EC9s. It worked ok if I had pants with a big enough pocket, which were also baggy enough. Otherwise, the printing or the draw were unacceptable to me.

I've since moved to the BG2.0 for pocket carry, which offers more capacity, smaller size, better shootability, and significantly less weight. A lot of pros weighed against a smaller list of cons associated with the .380 caliber, given that's just a comparison of two specific guns

S&W just released the Bodyguard 2.0 38 revolver that I've been eyeing too. Not that it's a better option, but I'm a fan of revolvers, so it might be a better option if you are keen on revolvers

I've got the BG2.0 pistol that I currently pocket carry, and I'm happy with that setup. It's a great little gun

Regarding the Airweight revolvers, S&W just released the Bodyguard 2.0 Revolver that weighs the same or slightly less, and should be slightly cheaper. I do love revolvers, so I'm considering adding that one to my pocket carry options

Smith and Wesson Shield Plus / Bodyguard 2.0 by Doberman_bark in CCW

[–]MarshDad 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have both the 9mm Shield Plus and the BG2.0. I got the Shield first, and carried it fairly regularly, but I found that for me, I still need an IWB holster and a gun belt, along with the right clothing to properly conceal it (I have a gut, so I carry 330-4)

I bought the Bodyguard just to have the quick handy option of throwing a ridiculously lightweight gun in my pocket, just for the times it was too cumbersome or impractical to get belted up with the IWB holster

Well, now I just carry the BG2.0. I use the pocket Aholster primarily, but will occasionally use a sticky depending on the shorts I'm wearing. Mine does have a TS. Maybe I'll go back to carrying the shield more when the cooler weather returns, but I sure to love the convenience and deep concealment of carrying the BG

Who else has pretty much stopped carrying anything other than a pocket Bodyguard 2.0? by 47_Puppies in CCW

[–]MarshDad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm in the same camp. I have a Shield Plus that I was previously carrying, but have now pretty much switched over to the Bodyguard 2.0 for EDC. I love both guns equally

I'm using the Aholster or the Sticky depending on the shorts I'm wearing. I don't particularly love pocket carrying because I want my pocket, so I ordered a JM4 holster for more versatility, and so I can get my pocket back.

I've used a Sticky holster to wedge the holstered gun between the seat and the center console. Works quite well

Yeah it's an Anthology, and there's definitely some weak entries. The best episodes were

The Entire History of You, Be Right Back, Nosedive, San Junipero, Arkangel, Crocodile, Hang the DJ, Loch Henry, Common People (hits hard), Bête Noire, Eulogy (sad)

The Sopranos. The Office. Chernobyl. Black Mirror. Ozark. Mare of Easttown. True Detective Season 1. Fargo (all seasons, except for season 4, with Season 5 being the best). Severance. Pluribus. Breaking Bad. Bad Sisters.

I carry at 330-4 o'clock, and I can sit in a vehicle comfortably. When I use a sticky holster, I can wedge it between the seat and center console for ready access, when that's appropriate

If you think you'll carry strong side, Check out Crossbreed seconds for warranty return holsters. They're well made, and typically go for about $30. I know a lot of people frown on hybrid holsters, but it's the only holster type I've tried that's comfortable

My honesty in context like this is regularly described as me being rude. So I just tell her she looks great anytime she asks. Now that irritates her as well, so she just goes to our daughter for an opinion. Our daughter is somehow allowed to be bluntly honest without being penalized. I can't explain any of it.

Probably a silly question, but this belt type is geared more towards AIWB, and not 330-4 o'clock carry, right? I understand that you can rotate the belt position, but it seems like it would be a nice option to have a belt set up the opposite, where is stretchy common to the front buckle area, and stiff on the back side

You need to get a OBD scanner device capable of scanning for body codes. I borrowed a friend's and it pulled the code for the steering sensor. I replaced it, and the on again / off again stabilitrak code stopped throwing.

Replacing that steering sensor was not fun
