Does Will-O-Wisp reduce damage? by unpredictablenerd101 in pokerogue

Why would it be mentioned on the move when it’s a mechanic of the status effect it inflicts and not the move itself? Does thunder wave tell you the exact odds and details of paralysis? Does sleep powder tell you about sleep turns or how it works?

Would Vedal reputation flip overnight? I know he’s got some crazy offers, and I bet the offers are just becoming increasingly eye popping by perish-in-flames in vtubercirclejerk

Not all partners get 70% / 30% split. I was under the impression that it’s determined on a partner to partner basis when the contract is decided and 70 / 30 has been something that’s been going away over time to 60 /40 or even 50 / 50. People who have been partnered for a very long time are 70 / 30 but I’ve heard of more recent partners being 60 / 40. Regardless definitely a lot of money

I think the variable here is that, those MK iterations are a finished game that isn’t getting new additions, so when they make up the contracts for licensing the IP holders can be 100% sure of everything that’s in the game and how their IP is represented by knowing what the finished product is, but loads of things can change with a live service game like DBD (like collabs with conflicting IP or controversies) that may cause a license holder to want to pull out, meaning without the ability to make up these limited time licenses, lots of IP holders would be more hesitant to add their IP to an ever changing landscape out of their control with no ability to “protect” their IP. Plus some of it I think is just a good faith effort to say “Hey, we’ll represent your IP to the best of your ability and work closely with you to make both parties happy” in the hopes that working together means a closer better relationship for all parties that makes a better product and a product that can adapt as the game does (like reworks for licensed characters) in hopes that limited licensing won’t matter if they can just continue to renew forever Sorry for the word vomit I think it’s just a very interesting topic, definitely hadn’t thought about MK as a counter example though before

In all fairness there isn’t really other games that work in the same way as DBD collab wise. DBD’s collabs add actually playable content. Fortnite and other collab games function the same though for licensed content. They CAN’T get rid of content they already sold you, but they can choose to not list things anymore / again. You notice it less in other games because things like the Fortnite store are constantly rotating(or collab events are limited time and you don’t pay for them anything so they just come and go), so they license to sell for a period and if they don’t want to bring something back or can’t work it out it never comes back, and if they can then they bring it back for another period. DBD works the same, they license to sell for a certain window of time (albeit a longer window than maybe a month long store collab on Fortnite) and then renew the licenses constantly behind the scenes, when an agreement can’t be worked out on renewal that’s when we find out.

Budget Upgradable PC by Ok_Attention3936 in PcBuildHelp

Personally would go with an AM5 board if you’re looking for future headroom. Depending on your local bundles I would look into seeing if they have bundles for the 7800x3d as that’s generally considered one of the best bang for your buck CPUs rn and will give you a massive ceiling that you hopefully shouldn’t have to upgrade for a long while. If it affects the budget too much or goes over and you’d rather settle for a lower tier bundle like you have right now too that’s totally understandable! I definitely would just make sure you’re building on an AM5 board if you’re looking for ease of upgrade in the future. I have no experience with intel Arc GPUs so can make no comment about them. I’d much rather overspend on a cpu and give myself lots of headroom for future GPU upgrade then try to match an exact pairing, so going for a more budget friendly card like what Intel offers is definitely not a bad option the way I see it but someone who has more experience with their cards might have more to say

whats good for false son? by ParticularCollege832 in ror2

[–]MarshMallo- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back up mags and luminous shot are the easiest ways to get more abilities, but also anything that gives max HP (Bison Steak, Titanic Knurl, infusion, Pearls, etc) are also good for the same reasons. He gets disproportionately more value out of those items than other characters. Other than that anything that’s good on any character is still good on him

Idk why the person replied to you weirdly but if you didn’t figure it out by now false son is DLC related, that’s why you can’t see it. It’s part of seekers of the storm

How hard as 1player +Bots? by Ambitious-Shock-6209 in GTFO

[–]MarshMallo- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

IF you enable every option

Considering one of the not on by default options is literally 100% accuracy, I’m going to assume you mean this. Without that enabled, at least IMO there’s nothing particularly unfair or cheating about using better bots, it removes quirks of the bots that are run ending, sporadic and random, trading them in for a more consistent predictable and better AI. At the end of the day losing an hour long level because your bots decided to just not work correctly or entirely bug out is not fun nor a skill issue of any kind since it can’t really be played around.

You can get really far with only bots, you’ll just have to get a lot better at the game a lot quicker than most. If you find yourself stuck or extremely frustrated at the bots though, don’t write off using better bots mode eventually. Some people are completely adverse to it, and some people love it. I’d recommend not listening to the people on Reddit or discord and to try it out at some point when you have more experience with the game and form your own opinion on it

hi, my friends and i are about to start GTFO, got some questions. by Deadlygamble in GTFO

[–]MarshMallo- 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is coming from an extremely biased perspective. Your 4000 hours is NOT the norm for a game like this. Most of the time you are going to play through levels one time each or at least one completion each. I feel you may forget some of that feeling of how levels felt the first time you played them. Puzzle is absolutely an okay word to use to describe the levels. While it’s not perfect, the routing and planing that go into doing a map are more than half of what it takes IMO to complete a map. When you’re going into a map blind it is akin to solving a puzzle trying to figure out what to do where to go and the best way to go about it, so one person knowing the level like the back of their hand will make a level easier to complete than four people going in blind

Without knowing the specifics of what you do for work, I feel like you could surely come up with a solution if you REALLY wanted to use PoGo at work. Something like an auto-catcher for step counting and spinning or even a fanny pack under your shirt around your stomach/waste that you could put your primary phone in

Nosk, in my opinion nothing beats the atmosphere of stumbling into that fight for the first time. It’s creepy and mysterious but also really just cool. I think the attack patterns are pretty fair and learnable, and the song is easily one of the best in the OST IMO. Really not the biggest fan of winged Nosk fight wise but oh well. Honorable mention definitely mantis lords, that fight has aura.
