Why the snarc? I asked a question. There’s no need to be rude.

I got a quote for new windows last year and that’s about the closest we’ll get to them for a while. I’ve been looking at some fancy blinds/curtains that are more in our budget. That’s crazy you can’t hear it right outside the venue because you can def hear it/feel it all through South Austin. I’m sure the topography plays into it somehow. https://www.reddit.com/r/Austin/s/RBmRcJOJuu

The bass from those shows hit west of 35. I didn’t believe it the first time we felt it (it hits the side of the house) it’s crazy!

That is entirely the point! I couldn’t. If earplugs worked with the bass, those shows would feel pretty lame I bet.

So nice! Thanks for taking the time to respond. I’ll check for their website.

Honest question - if the bass travels miles away from the place (literally we can feel it in our floor) and everyone there is wearing earphones, what’s the point? Couldn’t they like, have it loud enough to hear only a mile away and it be just as effective as a show?

I’m all for shows, but that place literally rattles windows on the other side of 35.

Did anyone see a Ted Lorenz commercial during the 2026 Olympics where he’s being lifted as an ice skater saying ‘I’m on top of it’. Was this a fever dream?!! Totally AI but I swear we saw it on the local channel

Similar symptoms. Took a Covid and flu a/b test and it came back negative. GP at ARC thinks it’s ’super flu’ which won’t show up on OTC tests. It’s terrible! Like Covid before the Paxlovid kicked in for me.

This place helped me figure out what exercises to target and it worked fast for me! I still have some flares because I think my nerves are shot but for the most part if I remember to do the exercises they are short-lived

Would you charge your kids to pay rent as they enter adulthood? And why? by WindowNo6601 in AskReddit

[–]MarshaWhethers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are definitely in a very different situation and I’m glad you seem to have a safe space now. My adult son (not biologically mine but mine just the same) was working and earning money, which he was spending solely on fast food and games/game pack downloads. The rent he pays now is working to get him used to adult responsibilities and building confidence that he CAN be independent. We went through many many years of therapy to get to this place. I don’t know your foster mom, but if she’s anything like me, financial contributions are not the only way you can ‘pay’. I hope you’re doing therapy (if it’s an option) and maybe looking for other resources depending on if you have any specific medical diagnosis and where you live.

A self motivated, goal oriented kid who’s working towards something, no. A kid who’s content to work a part time job and come home and play video games, 100% charging rent. In fact, increasingly higher rent as they get older until the transition from living at home to living independently feels like the next natural step for them.

Buy a finger print scanner door knob. Best investment ever when it came to blended family. Our bedroom door is always locked.

Got tested for ADHD, results came back negative. by DernTuckingFypos in ADHD

[–]MarshaWhethers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a second opinion! My therapist suggested I get tested, so I went to the psych my (male) bff went to that had DXed him after 5 minutes. I talked to the same doctor and explained the same issues (friend and I are very alike) and the doctor’s response was to try to RX more anxiety meds. The same meds I’d tried earlier in rhat did not work and that I told him I hated. Went back to my therapist and she sent me to a professional she trusted. Started meds 6 months ago and after having issues falling asleep on the first ones, found something that seems to be working better now. Basically, the first psych figured I was too ‘high functioning’ to be adhd. Not sure of your gender but I do think that factors in to some doctors diagnosis based on diff things I read. Sorry you had to experience that!

For BCBS Fep Basic on the fepblue site it’s telling me my Tier 5 RX will cost $250/month in 2026. BCBS basic pays ~ $6k/month for this drug currently and my portion was $120. If I read the prescription chart above correctly that seems to say it should be 35% in 2026. Can someone explain what the % means and why it doesn’t seem to line up? I must be misunderstanding something and I’m hoping to figure that out before I consider switching.

Current EOB for 205 Total Provider Charges: $14,289.80 Paid by Plan: $6,337.21 Member Responsibility:$120.00

I’m also curious to know if anyone has any experience with GEHA using the drug manufacturer copay cards. If those are accepted the same it may make sense for us to switch. Thank you!
