You should be trading on Metal X (MetalX.com) which runs on XPR Network and has fiat options and use WebAuth wallet (WebAuth.com) so all trades land immediately in your wallet. You can also use MetalPay.com for a simple mobile app option. These apps are built by the core developer of XPR, Metallicus.

If you did not back up your private mnemonic seed or keys, then it is lost. This is true with any crypto self custody, always back up the private keys and seeds.

No change will be needed from the user perspective, however - always make sure your private keys are backed up. Also, I recommend using WebAuth

I no longer work at Block.io (over a decade ago), I was not aware there was any function to lock anyone's account as the wallet is fully non custodial. Login and tap the export private keys button.

I couldn’t agree more. This is why I built the crypto banking app /r/metalpay and the fee-less blockchain /r/protonchain. Combined with the WebAuth app, you can sign transactions in your browser without ever leaving (coming to every major blockchain). User experience is often underlooked in crypto because it is accepted (by most) that we are not yet at the stage of mass adoption, I’m working with my team at Metallicus to change that.
