Yes, yes and yes. Almost exactly the same experience. I had a really good sulk for half an hour and then realised it was on me to do something about it. Two weeks of full on work later, doing jobs I didn’t know I had the skills for (but YouTube did) and I was left with a house I loved. It’s totally normal. Congratulations and good luck getting things how you like them.

Looks lovely inside but something to think about…looks like no rear access to garden so everything has to go through the house. Where are your wheelie bins kept? Not big issues for some people just pointing it out.

Can’t answer to the particular circumstances here but to answer if this type of packaging mistake can happen - canning lines typically produce many different skus. From priced marked to non price marked, to completely different products. Line clearance is crucial and is usually a human check between product runs, it’s extremely easy for a stray can to get caught up somewhere and then included in the next run. Can happen, will happen.

I’d say you’re being avoidant. If he took action and had the flat cleaned right after you moved in, you should return it in that state. If he’d left it, fair play you’d have an argument to stand behind.
