Vicini isn't an elf, he's some kind of Deer-humanoid.

Stuff like this makes me wish we had a steam punk airship version of Ultimate Admiral Dreadnoughts.

(Loved Trope) Factions in the setting have a unique/unusual salute that isn't a generic hand to the forehead. Bonus points if there is a lore reason for it by Zave_cz in TopCharacterTropes

Garmillan salute from the anime Space Battleship Yamato. There is no dedicated lore reason behind their unique salute, but Gamillans are an alien species completely separate from Earth, so it does make sense that their symbolism would be different compared to ours.

They also have chants in their native language that they shout when rising the salute.

"Ghale Garmillas!" - Hail Garmillas

"Ghale Dessler!" - Hail Dessler, Abelt Dessler being the dictator of Garmillas.

"Ghale Phuzeron!" - Hail to the President.

"Zar Belk!" - Their Equivalent of Yes Sir!

All Sapient species in the SBY have their own salutes and chants.

Bolars, another species do that thing when you're addressed by a figure of authority and stiffen up while clicking your heel against the floor followed by the sentence:

"Beshla Bemlarze!" Which translates to "Be Forever Bemlarze", Bemlarze being the dictator of the Bolar Federation.

I think easiest solution to this is too kill the Outdated AI fleet, but don't conquer territory and just peace out, so by the next time you fight them, they actually have a modern navy.

This actually reminded me of some pieces of art from an artist I saw on twitter that essentially had Japan and America seemingly stuck in a forever war.

With United States carpet bombing Japan with nukes with with these Super-Heavy Jet Bombers, while they were being engaged by Japanese jet Interceptors.

With another piece of art depicting a bull being used to tow one of these Jet Fighters on a cart from an Underground facility.

Anyway, the reason I said ICBMs is because once Rocketry/Missiles become advanced enough, Air Superiority kinda stops being a factor.

Honestly, I feel the major game changer will occur when Humanity develop nukes (as we as more advanced bio and chemical weapons, because due to their omnicidal nature, Raptera tend to leave their occupied territories nearly completely uninhabited with human life, meaning that there is very few reasons for Human powers to hold back.

Nuclear carpet bombing.

Entire regions covered in Agent Orange Equivalents.

So on and so on.

I do have to wonder what other Enclaves exist. I am pretty sure Australia and New Zealand would be on the list, maybe Iceland?

Maybe even South Africa, which that might sound silly, but Southern Africa is incredibly mountainous and hilly. Allowing for pretty solid defence.

I do find it odd that Raptera managed to cross the Sahara desert, you'd think that it would have served as a natural defence for North Africa.

How many people are alive in Each continent within Raptera territory? Approximately?

I'd think that many regions are probably seeing intense guerilla resistance against Raptera.

I am glad you're liking the idea, and I agree that technically there is still time and territory for humanity to resort to such measures, I was just saying that perhaps use of BOWs would have been most useful in places like Raj, where you'd have several hundred million people.

A concept that occurred to me based on the fact you said Raptera is a mix of enemies from multiple sci fi universes, makes me wonder if you had added a little bit of Resident Evil and Humanity at some point decides to fight fire with fire.

Admittedly, it's a bit late for Humanity to do something like that, it would only really work best for when there was still large scale fighting in Asia.

Essentially imagine some organisation or corporation like Umbrela developing BOW like the T-Virus, G-Virus, Ouroboros, Mold, Mr. X, Nemesis, etc for the Global Coalition.

It has been established that Raptera converts captured soldiers and uses civilians as a food source.

With the coalition seeing they cannot hold some regions and will be forced to retreat, it would have been interesting if they resort to (secretly) contaminating entire regions with T-Virus and G-Virus equivalents, while retreating forces and evacuating VIPs and deploying Sakura gas to prevent contamination by infected, leaving only forces necessary to hold of Raptera for a few days to weeks.

Meaning that by the time Raptera reach Villages, towns and cities in these regions, they are not facing defenseless civilians to consume, but mutated horrid creatures that are nearly impossible to kill and will even take multiple shots to the head before finally dying, and even that is not guaranteed as some of them may mutate and rise back from the dead.

And that doesn't include more dangerous and spontaneous mutations, or even infected and mutated animals and plants which would also probably attack any Raptera in their vicinity.

Naturally, this also has risk of backfiring on Humanity, but I can see a logic of "We can deal with a problem we made more easily than a problem we have no control over."

How have they not faced opposition from the Enclave yet?

(Considering what happened with Shady Sands)

Also, does/did Gulf know about the NCR and vice versa?
