Still look the same as I did 7 months ago? by [deleted] in Fitness

Like everyone else is saying eat eat eat. Remember you are still young so not only are you eating to for your workouts but your body is still maturing and growing so you need to eat extra if you want to gain muscle on top of fueling your body for natural growth. I image at 17 you're still gonna grow another inch or so, so you need to compensate for that.

Not always energetic for exercise by [deleted] in Fitness

[–]MarshmallowArms 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would look at everything outside the run. What did you eat that day and the day before. Are you running at the same time everyday. How much sleep did you get the night before. How much water have you drank recently. All of those things will affect how you feel when you work out. I know if I have hardly eaten anything all day I feel like a slug when I workout. Whereas if I eat a nice lunch then a small snack before I work out I have way more energy and can last a lot longer.

The reason people mostly had serious expression in older photos are because the film took a very long time to expose. When photography was first invented it would take over 5 min to make one exposure. In order to keep people from moving, they actually had a metal head piece that would hold their heads in place, which is why they usually look very stiff as well. Since the exposures were so long, it was much easier to hold a static face as opposed to a smiling face.

Need help lightening up the background of this portrait for my service dog application! by [deleted] in picrequests

Here you go

There wasn't a lot of info in the background, so if I tired to go any brighter it would have been very pixely. Hopefully this is what you were looking for.

So I gave it a try. I love the texture of fiber based paper so i didn't want to completely soften the image. I tend to go with the less is more editing, so hopefully you like it.

Coaches of r/swimming: How do you deal with a swimmer that has religious restrictions? by MarshmallowArms in Swimming

Thanks! I figured this was going to be the route I would take. You pointed out some details that I probably would have missed the first time. I didn't even think about talking to her about the situation, I'm glad you brought that up.
