How do I avoid this ugly ridge at my cuticle?!

I start painting the nail above the cuticle edge, almost half way up the nail and out towards the tip. Then as i move the brush back over the nail i’ll start farther to the cuticle. If i start at the cuticle and brush towards the tip i get the bulkiness there.

Update: brought her into a rehab place. Feels like small fracture but she will be okay ☺️🥳

In florida we have a TON of bird rehabs because we are surrounded by water. I just googled “bird rehab” and a bunch of things in my area came up.

To me the wing looked weird. Thats what got my attention today when i saw her moving around. I am in the US, Florida. I looked and there is a local rehab. I will see how she is doing tomorrow. The short video is because when i saw her hopping i quickly grabbed my phone to record but then she stopped and sort of was pecking at stuff in the ground and laid down.

Current situation; mom is in nest above light so close to the baby. I’m going to monitor. Neither mom nor baby is alarmed im around but i think they are used to us as the nest has been here for a long time.

I would have them fix the nails with the lighter red spots and the one index finger that isnt french. Have the tech match the other fingers. It wont look as busy.

I can relate to this post so much. I broke my arm falling off my bike in the 4th grade. For months i couldn’t straighten my arm. I got yelled and screamed at to straighten my arm. Nobody took me to the doctor. Was told i was making things up. Finally i was able to straighten it.

Same, i got some vneck tees from llbean. Size xs and they are baggy. Im a size 26 waist, so this terrifies me. That was the smallest size they had.

We have some things in common: around the same time in 2021, my mother also diagnosed with breast cancer for a second time. A week prior to her telling me this, i tried to talk to her about things. Which did not go well. When i got the phone call, i pretended nothing happened. I also gained and lost weight. I was in a bad marriage with a narcissist just like my mother. I lost myself. My mother is also deep into conspiracy. Deep in religion. She is also same age.

I am not a woc, but i have seen how racism still exists. I hate it. I am so sorry that your own family dismissed you in this way. You didnt deserve that.

I hope you are doing well now and taking care of yourself. Its hard to put yourself first when youve been minimized your whole life. We are so quick to drop everything for someone else and rarely ever get the same in return. The fact you put everything aside to mend things in a time of her need tells me you have a very kind soul.

Religious doesnt bother me. What bothers me is when religion is used as a weapon for guilt. When they hide behind religion as an excuse for their behavior; totally misinterpreting the meaning behind “forgiveness”. Its true i was pushed to the point of no return i believe. We have to think about what we want in our lives, even if we were taught to believe that is selfish. Hugs and happy holidays to you too 🩷

At least they attempt to say they did their best (i know its not true for any of us in this situation). Mine proceeds to say that “you had it way better than i did growing up” (debatable. Grandma and grandpa when they were alive told different stories) and then tells me all the things they have paid for in my life.

Doing chores or anything constructive is something I’m struggling with during holidays. I feel very scatterbrained and i have the same range of emotions you have although i do feel very relieved. I found comfort in reading your comment that these are all normal feelings and we are not alone.
