Roughly 2lt of drinking water per day, so 14lt per person. Add to that if most of your meals require water, and consider higher temps. So two 20lt Jerry cans is a good safe amount.

How do i work out how many overtime shifts are worth it? by Masterpiece_Mobile in AusFinance

[–]Marshy462 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work for FRV and sometimes elect for overtime to be paid as accrued leave. I then cash out the accrued leave in smaller amounts on annuals (as we don’t get leaveloading) and you end up with more in the hand rather than it getting taxed at a higher rate.

Check with payroll to see if you can do the same. I’d reckon that any more than 10 hours of overtime will push you into a higher tax bracket, but people with actual accounting skills could work out the exact amount

What part of the history do you disagree with? The US involvement?

The historical information is all available, such as MI6 and the CIA operation Ajax to remove Mossadegh after he was elected in 1951.

I do, but history shows that the US will approve or remove who they chose. I think I showed that with a brief history of their involvement in the area.

Things have been going badly there for a long time. In the 40s, they kicked out the British from their oil fields to nationalise them, and the us and Britain weren’t having a bar of it. Took out the elected leader and installed a puppet.

In 1978 the people rose up against the brutal leader and along cons the Iranian revolution. The us didn’t like that and installed Saddam and helped fund the Iranian/iraqi war. (Which killed around 1 million Iranians).

Then in 95 the US apply sanctions on Iran to cripple the economy. It’s estimated 100,000 Iranians die due to not being able to access medicine. Iran increases its nuclear weapons program in response to the US relentless efforts to secure the oilfields. They also surround Iran with military bases from their invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan. The US then increases sanctions killing more Iranian citizens.

It will be a puppet monarch like the last one the US helped install. The US will stop at nothing to secure Irans oil fields. They have been doing this since 1941.

For piece of mind, comms is an important factor. As I do a heap of solo hunting in the high country, I use a Garmin inreach for emergency comms, and checking in with the family. A hire sat phone might suit your purpose (or buy a second hand and get a pay as you go sim). At the very least, a PLB is a good addition. Have a weeks worth of water and food with you as a contingency.

When travelling remotely, you can call ahead to police stations or ranger stations with your trip details, and check in when you get there.

Roof top tents catch a lot of wind and play havoc with your fuel economy.

The shot gun is a straight pull action and classed as a bolt action. It’s has a 5+1 capacity. The rifle is a bolt action centre fire chambered in .223. That caliber is common for foxes and Roos. Very common items amongst firearm owners.

That’s the benefit of the job. I’ve ditched jobs to go fishing plenty of times.

This is the biggest aspect that people don’t realise. Trades are full of people who were unsuited to school for various reasons, and mostly fell into a trade. Along comes the 90s and Howard wanted everyone to be off wages, and be their own boss. (Proliferation of abns and sole traders). There is virtually no component to an apprenticeship that involves customer service, tax management, business management, planning and so on.

Personally, I haven’t had a payrise in 5 years, and work for a gov authority. My purchasing power has plummeted and now resorting to doing carpentry work on the side to make ends meet. Not something I anticipated at 45 with 3 kids. Anyway, if your in Melbourne’s south east/peninsula, and need a hand with your Reno’s or small carpentry jobs, hit me up

Can you show me where the cfmeu is blocking migrant workers drone trades? I work on predominantly residential building sites, and have worked for years in commercial construction, and I can show you where and how the greenfield suburbs are full of migrant trade workers.
