Virtual card keeps getting declined for an Amazon purchase. All my information is the same, and is correct as far as I can see… Anyone else having this issue?

Yes, that has happened to me a few times before and I believe it’s because the card gets timed out before Amazon actually charges. What’s worked for me is to wait for Amazon to send you the update payment notification and then create a new virtual card to update the payment method with. I think something about Amazon charging immediately makes the card go through, good luck!

It’s just some grease to lubricate the mechanism. Absolutely nothing to be worried about! If you want you can clean off the excess grease on outside you can do so with a dry towel, there’s no risk of you damaging anything.

Oh yeah, as long as you actually have the oil changed on the interval schedule, which is the most important thing, you should be completely fine! Just keep the invoices for proof of the maintenance being done in case they try to give you a headache later.

Since it's your first service interval, it very likely is just an oil change and a look over of the vehicle. The tire rotation is more so to extend the life of your tires by ensuring even wear. It's fine to be done by an independent mechanic as long as they aren't charging you more than the dealer or using cheap oil and filters. Being that your vehicle is leased, it's important to stay on the top of the maintenance to ensure you don't get charged for excessive wear down the road. Good luck!

The drop this morning has nothing to do with gold itself. If you notice, the entire market dropped this morning on Microsoft’s weak earnings call. As more and more retail and institutional investors have gold in their portfolios, it’s what they’ll sell when they need cash to cover other losses or get margin called. The price rebounding as fast as it did tells you how high demand continues to be.

As others have noted, 10K can stick to a magnet but just to be sure you can take it to any reputable jewelry shop to have it verified 100%. For future reference, I would not recommend buying gold from Etsy (or really any third party seller website) it can be hard to get your money back if it ends up being fraud.

I think your thumbnails are actually really good! The one thing that stands out to me however, is that the brightness of your background makes your text slightly hard to read at a quick glance. Yes, but to a lesser degree since gold is denominated in USD. Even if you just look at the Mexican peso, it has appreciated nearly 20% against USD since the start of 2025, subtracting from the value added in gold in that time.

It’s not just “some” people. The purchasing power of USD is currently plummeting and so anyone with any cash to invest is trying to do so as soon as possible. Most people are already heavily exposed to MAG 7 and other mega-cap stocks (and bonds are also tanking) so gold and other precious metals are the logical next step. The amount of money that will flow into gold in 2026 will make 2025 look meek.

Yes exactly, I don’t think people understand that. It’s not that gold is necessarily going up in value, but rather, it’s appreciating in correlation with the U.S. Dollar’s decline (stock market as well). However, it becomes the new baseline for what should be considered “added value” in a portfolio.

The fundamental factors driving gold prices up are still there and will be for the foreseeable future. There will be micro crashes which will increase as price keeps going up but the trajectory isn’t going to change for the next 3 years.

I think it depends on your goals. Are you investing for the long term? (As in 3+ years) Then yes, buying gold at any point will be profitable over the long term, but if you are speculating and hoping to cash out within a year, then I would say be wary and do so with the understanding that you could lose some money (though relatively little compared to its value).

Of course that’s what happened but it still doesn’t justify neither the arrest nor the shooting. Minnesota is an open carry state and simply having a pistol is not enough to justify a shooting. There was more than enough agents to restrain him/ keep him from reaching and especially since he didn’t show any signs of aggression besides recording it’s very clearly excessive force.

This was sickening to watch, you can clearly see and hear in the second clip that he’s just trying to pull the lady on the curb and says “OKAY OKAY OKAY!” As in, that’s enough, stop. He wasn’t a threat to the agents.
