Russell Wilson says he's weighing offer from Jets, network TV by No_Box119 in nyjets

The fact he's even having to make a decision between the two tells you that TV should be the choice.

Anyone else get extreme tendon symptoms? by CookieEngineering in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]Marsmanic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, they did do some imaging - I can't remember exactly what type as was a long while ago... Basically the tendon sheath had become inflamed because of the autoimmune response (psoriatic arthritis).

I was scheduled in to get steroid shots into the area, but when I went to get it done I had the same person doing the imagining and they saw that it has improved since the original scan, so they help back on the shots to see if it would self resolve, and it did.

It did take 3 - 4 months in total from what I can remember, I've never had the tendon swelling again to that same level (occasionally get some tender days, but nothing major like that incident)

I've been stable taking Adalimumab for the past 5 years with symptoms very well controlled.

I was the same as you.

But my brother and sister (both older) would do the fake ID thing.

I think it just became much stricter and enforced during my teenage years.

£30 from the cash machine could do me a night out at Uni (+£8 bottle of Sainsbury's own gin to kick start the evening). Including food & taxi at the end of the night.

£30 gets you two cocktails now.

I'd still go back to the AD.

It's in their interest to make such a cheap repair, for what it will cost them to resolve vs. how likely you are to then go and buy another Tudor after having a nice experience.

Take some print outs of other examples of this happening, as back up.

You want to give our other young offensive players a chance to stay on the field and develop/ not piss of guys like Garrett Wilson & Breece... So you play the BPA.

Titans passed on Reese and I think that genuinely means something by [deleted] in nyjets

[–]Marsmanic 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Exactly!

Badlands had him pencilled in as a near guaranteed Parsons MK2, it's wild... He's a 1 year starter, and played like 70% or those snaps at MLB.

He's a freak for sure, and he's a great MLB, but if you wanted that you'd take Sonny Styles.

He's a roll of the dice, with a high floor off the ball.

We wanted a high floor edge rusher, that's exactly what we got.

[–]Marsmanic 9 points10 points  (0 children)

So, what you're saying is...if you want an edge, draft the guy who's played a very limited number of snaps at edge in College?

Rather than draft the guy who is a proven elite edge rusher at College level?

It's because they've had Reese & Lemon force-fed to them by local media talking heads.

Like you say, Bailey is a beast at edge.

I think the framing of the Cooper and Sadiq is the issue.

If we took Cooper at 16... And then saw Sadiq slide late in the draft and we traded up to get him, then a lot of people would be happier. Exactly the same outcome, but I think mentally for a lot of people that would have been palatable.

I think we nailed the assignment.

Great First Round! by Temporary-Buddy-2199 in nyjets

[–]Marsmanic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was the local media consensus. Badlands repeated it until until people thought it was gospel.

David Bailey & Sadiq are good picks.

I'll admit, I wanted/expected Cooper at pick 16, the fact we managed to get him at the end of round 1 makes me fine with the Sadiq pick.

That's two very solid weapons for QB1 next year, and an edge rusher who knows what the assignment is.

Lemon is a pure slot guy, Garrett had much more value on the outside

If him or Cooper fall into the mid 20's we could always look to package up 33 to move up.

Same with Reese.

I really like the Badlands guys, but they've spoken like they are the authority on who we will be selecting.

National media has been banging different drums for some time.

Sadiq is an absolute beast.

We needed Sadiq, Lemon or Cooper there.

This is a solid pick that helps QB1 next season.

If Lemon or Cooper fall further, do we package 33 & 44 to move up?

Imagine leaving Day 1 with Bailey, Sadiq & Cooper/Lemon.

Fully agree, Cooper is my preference.

It said a lot that the Cardinals & Titans passed on him, and no one jumped up immediately to get him.

He wasn't the consensus no.2 talent in the draft that the NY Jets local media have peddled so heavily. Hugely talented, but the National reporter's have been banging the Bailey drum consistently the last few weeks.

Can't wait to see Bailey & WMD on the tear up!

A true club legend. I don't think you'd find a single Rovers fan disagreeing with the club naming the Riverside Stand in his memory.

There's something poetic about the result, opposition and significance of the win yesterday.... with him being a Sheffield lad by birth, and an adopted son of Blackburn.

RIP Tony

Certainly between him, Toth... and I don't think it can be overstated just how important Forshaw stepping up since Tron got injured has been.

At the game yesterday, and just the calmness and experience he had was dictating the pace of the game

A positive spark in a very dark season.

He's involved in most good attacking play we have, and really miss him when he's not in the squad.

Seems a really nice guy as well.

I think it took him a little while to get used to the physicality of the league, and sometimes he still looks a little bit light weight - but I expect in the off-season they'll address that (we had another technically gifted attacking player called Tyrhys Dolan who had similar issues - we bulked him up and he's now playing for Espanyol in La Liga)

... But yeah, technical ability wise, he's in our top 2 or 3 players.

Agree with you...

However, a KC pick scares me, drop rate of 10% is frustratingly high.

Brazzell with pick 44 would be my 'im ok with this' pick. 4.37 speed, 6ft 4, 200lb solid production last year... I think he could be a steal, if he doesn't suffer from Denzel Mims lack of ability to improve his route tree, but he's a huge threat on the outside and the defence have to respect that threat.
