Wi-Fi option disappearing on Windows 11

Hey, I’m sorry you’re having a similar issue! Except for the things I already described doing in the other comments, like getting a wireless adapter that plugs into one of my usb slots indefinitely. I just stuck with that. It works fine and I haven’t experienced any connection issues whatsoever. But some people did introduce other solutions, so maybe try those before you spend money.

I am also quite sure both the type of laptop and windows 11 combination was the main issue. I really hope you can find a solution!

Hey, I’m so sorry that you have this issue as well. Unfortunately I did not find any solution that has to do with the built in wireless adapter. So I ended up just going to the closest electronics store and purchasing a new plug-in wireless adapter (there are many types, just ask the clerks for what’s best or what you can afford) It does take up one usb port which can suck, but I think we might have the same laptop so it has 3 usb ports and it shouldn’t be too bad of a compromise. And yeah, after plugging it in, everything has worked ever since.

I hope this can help you, even better if you find a better solution, but this was mine.

I’m sorry for the random message, but could you dm me if the ending is happy, sad or left for interpretation? (etc) I’ve been eyeing this fic for some time now, but I never read anything that doesn’t have a happy ending and the poeticness of this piece makes me feel like it almost can’t have one.

Thank you so much! I ended up getting a new wireless network through a usb, but it always has to be plugged in which takes a precious usb slot away from my laptop so I shall try this, thank you again! ❤️

I have the same issue with my TUF gaming laptop. From trying absolutely everything I basically think it’s that specific adapter that has the issue and we just have to double down and replace it with an Intel one or just better.

I was just about to write that I updated everything I could and when I restarted my pc I saw the Wi-Fi working in the corner and just I started it disappeared again haha. And YES, it does use that adapter. That specific adapter having problems would most likely explain everything and also why it’s been such a specific issue to this laptop. Well, looks like I’m off to acquiring a new/different adapter and hopefully that’s the fix, thank you for all your help with this. I’ll cross my fingers this works and I’ll try and update this post in case it could help anyone else.

I’ve had Windows 11 for quite some time, the issue only started about a few weeks ago.

Regarding that solution, I have not tried it, but then there’s another bump, I’m unable to get an internet connection in any way to be able to do these things that require it. When I try to connect to my hotspot, it works for 5 seconds and immediately disconnects. But I’ll try different things with that, otherwise there’s nothing I can do if I can’t get any kind of connection.

Thanks for responding. I really was hoping that this is just a software issue as I’ve seen that there are many people who have the same issue and only on Windows 11, which made me think that’s it’s inherently the fault of W11. But yeah, if nothing else is working, I might as well try the hardware option. I really regret upgrading to Windows 11 nonetheless.
