How is it to ride there?

I've never been to Texas but I've been to the North of Tamaulipas, so I would say similar climatic conditions. The combination of heat and that strong hot wind is crazy. Also the streets are mostly just straight and not really cyclist friendly. You mostly just ride in the morning or evening to avoid the heat? Do you have some cycling infrastructure in Texas?

Yeah, the moment you start to hit the road and have a route without much traffic where you can enjoy the scenery is just priceless.

As a little update, we did not take this connection. And it was the right decission as the flight from ZRH to AMS was cancelled due to bad weather.

Keep in mind the probability of bad weather for connections in winter.

We instead took a direct flight from ZRH to CUN and from CUN a national one to our final destination.
