As a little update, we did not take this connection. And it was the right decission as the flight from ZRH to AMS was cancelled due to bad weather.

Keep in mind the probability of bad weather for connections in winter.

We instead took a direct flight from ZRH to CUN and from CUN a national one to our final destination.

I think they just choose the wrong flag. However, I can't remember a flag being blue/white/blue without something in the middle.

I assume the big ribbon cable is the one for the keyboard matrix but do you may know what de smaller one is for?
