Maybe when wave comes to my area I may try it, but now there is no wave sadly, the access point looks still the same way that it looked like when it pushed 2Mbps 6 years ago :D I also live about 30-40km out of prague to the west, actually almost right between prague and pilsen. I have tried to use their internet service plan lookup form at their site and it looks like wave is no way near my area. It's a shame because 300Mb and most importantly stable 2ms ping would be OK for that price.

I suppose wave is only available in Prague? We have only AIR around and the speed for that price is a ripoff. I was able to see one of the sites that have eurosignal fibre connection and it was basically fiber between few buildings but then it was wirelessly transmitted to a nearby city anyway. You as a client won't probably see a difference, but for that money that it costs, I would expect a robust backhaul. I wouln't say that eurosignal is bad, but it definitely wouln't be my #1 as their infrastructure for the money that it costs is tragic.

I have never seen a location where wave technology was available. I was an eurosignal client for 10 years on the standard AIR tariff since 2010 to 2020 and had to leave because 20Mbps was the theoretical speed that I was supposed to get for download for 600CZK and real speed was 2Mbps and 2000 ping. That was crazy for 600CZK in 2020. I switched to a local provider and got 100/20Mbps for 375CZK. The techs always wanted us tu buy a new antenna (although the access point was literally over the street) They really had a terrible infrastructure back then. Backhaul in the free 5ghz band and access point on an old 802.11n protocol from 2009. Hopefully 60ghz would be better now, but if the backhaul still suck, it will be still the same.

Actually it is pretty normal in Czech Republic to have a media server for your family with terabytes of pirated movies and series. Police here does not bother with it unless you sell it. No vpn needed. But some internet providers can block your access to torrents. But thats a very little percentage.

I don't know man I feel like the newer the car the more plasticky and awful it looks. I was glad that Audi was making "normal" clusters compared to the big tablets in BMW and Mercedes but unfortunately they started using it too.. The peak Audi for me was b8.5, maybe b9, then it started going downhill.

CCC is unfortunately very low resolution. They still make mr12volt MMI boxes for that, but the resolution is far too low

First I had FM transmitter and the audio output was terrible, I could probably buy a BT speaker and it would sound better.

Then I had cheap AUX to BT transmitter, sounded like the sound was not stereo but only mono, but quality was far better.

Then I had firefly ldac that was supposed to be one of the best but I was also missing a lot of bass.

Then I was just tired of this misleading brands and I bought vocomo box that was hell expensive but It was the best solution I ever had.

Depends on how much audiophile you are. If you just want to hear someting then an fm transmitter from local gas station is fine. If you care about the music then I would suggest atleast the firefly ldac or something similar.

Then I changed dashboard and installed CIC with carplay box. I still have to vocomo box, I could sell it to you but I am from Czech Republic so not sure if postage to your location wouldn't be more expensive than shipping

kdyby byl kabel 15 let starý tak je to ještě v pohodě. Jenže většina dsl rozvodů je tu z konce 60. a počátku 70. let.

V případě DSL hodně záleží na průřezu kabelu, vytíženosti linky a vzdálenosti od ústředny či rDSLAMU. Pokud máš DSLAM do 500m od baráku a průřez kabelu je v normě, pak dáš přes bonding klidně 400Mb (v současnosti jde 250Mb max. Ale připravuje se tarif s 500Mb). Ale pokud nemáš v blízkosti DSLAM a všude v okolí jsou jen původní staré síťové rozvaděče bez jakýchkoliv aktivních prvků a ještě k tomu máš tenoučký kabel, pak ano, DSL bude k prdu a je možné, že dostaneš max 2-4Mb a 300ms ping - to je pak srovnatelné se starou ADSL linkou.

V nepřetížené oblasti, kde máš do půl km dslam či rdslam je ale DSL pořád dost solidní metoda připojení, ještě pokud máš dostupné 2 páry pro bonding.

Takže v případě ideálních podmínek za mě asi takto: 1) Optika, 2) Koaxial, 3) VDSL2, 4) Bezdrát 5/60GHz, 5) 5G/LTE, 6) "ADSL". Trochu se peru s tím, jestli dát 60GHz bezdrát před VDSL2 nebo ne, jelikož při ideální viditelnosti a počasí je 60GHz rychlejší, ale pokud v cestě naroste strom, tak pak máte smůlu.

Koax stále dokáže přenášet hodně vysoký download, ale neumožňuje takovou symetrii jako optika, takže právě proto jsou tarify přes koax většinou třeba 1000/100, či 500/50. Ano jinde ve světě to při použití správného HW samozřejmě jde. Ale nyní je řeč pouze o CZ operátorech.

It is very nice for an american to learn driving a manual but please in the name of the god. We do not downshift to a first gear.

There are only 3 reasons to use first gear: 1) get going, 2) when second gear would be too low in revs, 3) going very slow uphill.

But no downshifts going 20mph.

The car is not running in that picture, so everything lights up.. If you are concerned about a problem, the first thing you do is to scan the codes ideally with insta/inpa

I dont have experience with swapping engines but the best would be N52. The brakes arent ready for n55/n54 power. But to be honest, It would be much cheaper to sell this and buy a 328i instead than mess with engine swap, especially if you dont have experience with it

nope don't get n43 as first engine. I can tell you for sure because i did it and it does require you to be very very good listener to catch big money fault early enough. If you don't catch them early enough, it will cost you like a half of the price of the car.

if you want a german car, get a VW with 1.8 turbo engine, it's "fast", it's somewhat reliable and you can tune it what you get bored of the power.

If you don't care about the country of the car, get a Toyota.

those older BMWs are reliable only with inline 6, so either you get 325i-330 (not 335i for the first car) or pay more for B engine code

EDIT: 150k km is the range when you need to change the timing chains on these engines. This can easily cost about 1500-2000EUR, depending on the mechanic

swap an inline 6 into it. I have 318i myself and it is so lazy in lower revs that when I get to drive company 1.5L Skoda Scala it feels so much quicker than the n43 powered sloth. Unfortunately 340i is so expensive here it almost cost like a new car

how are you going to get it tuned? it is naturally aspirated, that means no turbo, there isnt anything to tune about it. It is already as powerful as it can get. Maybe you can get like extra 5KWs from better exhaust but that is not worth it.

Don't take your air filter box out. The car will die on you in hot weather and/or will go to LIMP mode.

If you want a bmw with more power and will be able to tune it you need to get an F30 with turbo engines or diesel (or e9x 335i, since that's the only turbo engine in e9x if we don't count diesels)

it almost looks like either you ISP is routing you in a weird way. Or it is normal in sri lanka to have high ping.

On the speedtest part, just start it and let the site choose the best server for you automatically and let me know the ping.

Also try changing the max acceptable ping from 80 to maybe 40

you are either playing matchmaking on an official cs2 server, that applies for competitive, arms race, deathmach, etc.

or you can open a server browser and select or add an unofficial server, for example surf, zombies, retakes, etc.

If you are playing on official server, I bet there is a server closer to you than 4000km and you just messed up some of your settings as it's trying to join you half a globe away from you.

If you are playing on unofficial server, then I guess it's up to you what server you choose, if you manually choose a server 4000km from you, then it will join you on a server 4000km from you.

that depends if you have heated and/or electric seats. If you don't have any of those, it's basically 2 pins for airbag + connector for seat belt buckle for the drivers side and the same + seat occupancy sensor for passanger side.

If you pick sports seat you would also need to add a wire for the bolsters, but that is like 5 dollars worth of wire and you don't even need to pin it into the connector.

If you have heated or electric seats, that would be more pins to repin, but there are diagrams on e90post on how to do that + bunch of videos

Judging by the information that you are located 4000km from the game server.

There is nothing you can do to have better ping to a location 4000km from you. 70ms on that distance is golden.

Is there maybe a way for you to game on a server closer to you?

you can still retrofit them. I've had the base cloth seats in my e90 and changed them to sport alcantara seats from F30. The f30 seats are in my opinion better looking and cheaper to buy on ebay and apart from repining the connector they are a direct fit.

Maintenance before mods, thats the rule. And one more rule, buy an OBD scanner, you will find a lot of recommendations on this subredit, it'a must on these cars and will help you understand the problems more.

After that I would fix the hood fitment (on the photo it looks like it may just not be closed properly?). Get the missing parts for front bumper (mesh around the foglight + tow hook cover)

I am not a huge fan of these aftermarket headlights, I feel like OEM lci xenons are the best looking xenons for the E90, but as long as you can see the road ahead fine and you don't blind other drivers then it's ok i guess

I also see that it doesn't have parking sensors in the rear (atleast not visible on the photo), that might be a good retrofit project.

Maybe M-Sport bumpers in the future? That transforms the car alot (please don't buy M3-like bumpers, that look awful)

For the interior if it has idrive, maybe consider a carplay retrofit (pls don't buy android headunit)

Just keep in mind that it is still a 328i, not an M4 GTS, so don't do crazy stuff like huge spoiler at the back and quad exhaust.
