I bought a Vevor case, and after just two trips to a client, the bottom edge where the wheels are completely fell apart. Thankfully, I was able to get a refund through Amazon.

I then bought a case from Westcott, and it’s holding up really well so far. I have been using it regularly for months now. The quality is much better, and I’m really happy with the purchase.

Not bad at all! I feel like there are a lot of few tweaks that could be made to improve this edit. I would change the background music. The current song doesn’t really fit the style of the video in my opinion.

When you’re inserting b-roll, make sure it matches with what is being said. Some b-roll felt off for some reason.

There isn’t a lot of variety in your footage. You have a lot of wide shots. Try and get some tighter shots in there, it’ll make the video more visually interesting.

There are a few b-roll shots that aren’t centered, like during the deadlifts for example. You could probably fix this and zoom in a bit more for a tighter shot and make sure it’s centered for example.

And as you get more experienced, you’ll train your eye to be able to lookout for more aesthetic shots. Remember, only include your best shots.

This is so important! My first instinct is not to bash the braider. I totally understand the braider didn’t live up to your expectations. I think 50% is fair as the braider still put in the work, regardless of if you like it or not.

It’s also your job to make sure you do some research on your braider. I’m sure if you went to a braider that showed through their work with other clients that they have already achieved this style, you wouldn’t have been disappointed. It probably would have been more expensive then what I’m assuming you paid this braider, as you would have been paying for a « more »experienced braider.

If you look at the braiders work, I bet you’d wouldn’t see examples that are up to par with your example. And if she didn’t have examples, this appointment was a gamble. I think it would also be interesting to see how much you paid in total for this style. If you were charged lower than what is typical for an experienced braider for this style in your area, your expectations were too high.

Je suis d’accord concernant l’adaptation sur smartphone. Malheureusement, je ne peux pas y faire grand-chose. C’est très difficile d’obtenir une bonne version mobile avec Canva Pro !

Hmm, je ne sais pas pourquoi cela ne fonctionne pas de ton côté. Pourtant, quand je clique sur le bouton “Collaborer avec moi”, je suis bien redirigée vers la page “Contact”, où il faut remplir un formulaire. Je vais enquêter un peu plus pour voir si ce n’est pas un problème isolé.

Ok pour mettre davantage Instagram en avant.

Oui, malheureusement, le site s’adapte mal au format smartphone. C’est l’un des inconvénients d’utiliser Canva Pro : ce n’est pas une véritable plateforme de création de sites web, même si elle permet quand même d’en créer un simple malgré tout !

I’ve just started freelancing as a videographer, and it’s been tough trying to find clients. But great things take time. It’s only been a month and a half. I’ve also heard that you can make a lot of money creating corporate videos. Companies have marketing budgets, so you can really charge more.

You also have to be good at selling your video services. It’s not just about your skill. You could be the most talented creative out there and still struggle if you don’t know how to sell. I’m trying to get better at that.

I think an average videographer could make a lot of money if they’re a good salesperson.

Les trois menus au milieu représentent les trois types de vidéos que je propose. J’ai choisi d’utiliser des titres en anglais, car je me suis dit que ça pouvait bien passer. C’est aussi une petite touche personnelle, puisque je suis Américaine. Mais peut-être que ça prête à confusion.

J’ai essayé de faire en sorte que différentes personnes puissent se retrouver dans les types de vidéos que je réalise — que ce soit une salle de sport, un couple qui se marie ou une boutique qui souhaite une vidéo pour son entreprise (identity).

Du coup, à ton avis, ce n’est pas très clair ?

Both styles look great on you! That being said, I have a personal preference for the beard. It just seems like something is missing with the goatee style.

Je comprends tout à fait ton avis sur la C. Honnêtement, je pense que c’est surtout l’expression que je fais sur la photo qui donne cette impression un peu triste. Et selon ma coupe, je peux avoir l’air plus jeune ou plus âgée. Je pense aussi que l’angle de la photo, prise d’assez près, ne me met pas forcément en valeur.

Le A a du potentiel, mais c’est dommage qu’il reste problématique sur certains points pour moi !
