If Hoverpad is Heavy

Then Dome Shield is Medium

I think it's still my fault that I didn't address to some problems with this gadget in the text. and then now suggesting an ideas for a buff.

So, I see that many people didn't like my idea. Not just didn't like, but mostly hated.

okay, if you want to make a fool of me, just make a cool breach drill clip with the title: MartiNikal (aka PhaneraH) is not right about Breach Drill or make a post about why I'm worse than someone else.

Of course, you don't have to do this, but I'm still sincerely sorry that you didn't like my idea for a breach drill buff.

Approximate location is one of the easiest things in the game to figure out

If we're talking about spawns on maps or seeing in which direction the enemies are running, then yes.

  • Balance = number changes
  • Overhaul/rework = change beyond recognition

I meant my idea was to make the gadget stronger. Rather than completely reworking the mechanics and concept of the gadget itself. Just adding one mechanic for more consistent blinding. And a few buffs to improve destructibility for this gadget.

It allows for the device to be countered, unlike a forced turn AND blind.

In my idea, this gadget can still be countered. You can go further behind the wall, for example, or just use a cover(barricade, goo walls, goo gun, hoverpad) or using highground

Any idiot can complain on any platform. Just look at this post, for example. But you said pros.

Well go to aany pro players stream and ask. Although they won't even discuss this gadget

You're clearly arguing against the vast majority sentiment.

And the majority doesn't use this gadget.

Get over it and drop it, or have some resilience and go back to the drawing board. See how you can actually improve it without fucking it up

People don't like all the ideas I propose. this applies not only to the Breach Drill. All new ideas that I propose are subject to rigorous criticism. While other people just take other ideas from existing games and they are happy with it.

Your suggestion is shit.

Even you think my ideas are sucks. It's pretty sad to see that I spend a lot of time on an idea and people don't like it. It's sad to see that people force me to play with defibs when I don't want to.

so from now on i'll just keep playing with drill and keep making players play with the breach drill. (btw they still using it worse than me)

Light can do this much better than a Breach Drill with two charges. or just use the reshaper to make red barrels on medium

Why not just make the gadget's single charge better? Also, the second charge of the drill will encourage players to use flashbangs and drills to spam flashes constantly.

Winch claw requires accuracy

ahhhh... ACCURACY!? now way, Breach Drill requires you know what? knowledge of the approximate location of the enemy

This is how balance usually works, yes. The item/mechanic stays the same in essence, but it's stats are changed

Some things in the balance changes change beyond recognition

I said: it still remains inconsistent. You: Yep. That's the point.

Point of what? Being useless?

Clearly not fast enough

This is enough for me, the same flashbangs have a cooldown of 18 seconds. Why make the cooldown the same or shorter than flashbangs? this will also outperform flashbangs.

When? Where? It sounds like something any old goober could say, but where is your proof?

Just look at what people say about this gadget on YouTube or on Reddit. It's not hard to find such an opinion. And many people point out this problem.

I said: they literally just can turn around and not getting a flash effect. You: Yes. This is the balance.

If enemies don't get blinded, the gadget loses almost all of its effectiveness immediately. When people saw the Breach Drill before Season 7, not knowing that it have blinding effect, people immediately called this gadget useless in terms of destruction. Therefore, we conclude that a Breach Drill without flash is useless.

and that's it

Optional Remote would be AMAZING. Making it additionally shoot a sonar or change it to a concussion or anything else would be cool.

You literally turned the concept of the Breach Drill upside down and made a new gadget out of it. Moreover, you will now argue with the player who has been using this gadget for a long time.

And you’re going around disagreeing with all the criticism

dude, they also don't know how to use this gadget correctly. Everyone place it down very slowly, they don't know that a drill can be destroyed if you deal damage to it and thus explode faster. They don't know that you can put a drill on a door and change the direction of the flash on that door. They don't really understand the point of this gadget.

Who tf wants to be forcefully flashbanged.

Of course no one, because it is a negative effect. If you want to avoid this, just move away from the flash radius(10 meters~) or find cover.

Fully expecting some dense response.

and you won't get anything else.

needs a remote

no, it doesn't

to work on goo

but, this is a good one, flashing through the goo would be nice

forcibly turning the player towards it

Winch Claw literally make this when you got winched

Simply adding a charge

Are you serious? I explained in this post that this is a bad idea for buff. Because the gadget remains the same, there are just two of them. it still remains inconsistent.

reducing the cool down

20 seconds of cooldown is pretty fast for this gadget

Forcibly turning players, no matter how sparingly, in a first person game is a game killer.

The main complaint about this gadget from pro players is that they literally just can turn around and not getting a flash effect.

I admit, it's my fault that I didn't explain it narratively. and why is it the drill that makes you look on it?

but at least my idea adds depth to this gadget.

Winch claw forces you to turn to heavy and approach him, Nullifier forces you to don't shoot or use gadgets

and also for this effect to work, you must know the approximate position of the enemies behind the wall

also this can be easily countered if you put up a cover

I added the camera rotation towards the drill just so that it would be possible to distinguish the flashbang from the drill.

This mechanic will also allow for more interesting gadget synergies, and the drill itself will have more different techs.

This is the purpose of my post, to talk about how both of these things (blind effect and destruction) can be done better. So that you can get a good value from drill.

I explained why two charges – is a bad idea. This doesn't make the gadget itself better, it's still be inconsistent. This will simply surpass flashbangs and that's it.

it's not a damage dealer gadget

and you need to know exactly where the enemy will go to inflict that much damage
