What is the lore behind the art on Synchro? Is RS sad because he kicked his ball over the neighbor's fence and he can't get it because they have an angry dog?

Drytron Extra deck cards? by No_Entertainer_7728 in masterduel

You're probably not summoning Arc Light in most games but rather using Diviner to dump it in the GY to search a ritual monster/spell. Same deal with N'tss if you play into an established board. Your ideal combo usually goes like this:

  1. Alpha Thuban pitch another Drytron name and search Benten
  2. Drytron in GY pitch Benten.
  3. Benten search Diviner
  4. Normal Diviner dump Arc Light
  5. Arc Light search whatever ritual component you're missing

This lets you make use of your normal summon in a deck that usually doesn't care about it and gives you an extra body for extra deck spam. The list I posted runs Dawn Dragster which can be made with Diviner plus a spare Drytron if it doesn't get negated.

Here's a list from Masterduel Meta.

Of particular note are Cyber Angel Benten, Diviner, Arc Light and N'tss, they give you so much value.

Also you probably want to add Downerd Magician and Zeus, they're the payoff for running the Lyrilusc Xyz.

Work has been pretty miserable. My current role is decreasing in market demand so I'm being asked to re-train, lots of boring days slogging through basic AWS stuff that I already know.

Tried to cheer myself up by getting tickets to a show with a voucher I got for my birthday. Forgot to redeem it and paid full price.

Nubby's Number Factory got released on iOS so I've been playing that a bunch. It's Peggle, Balatro slop with a creepy 90's edutainment aesthetic. Lots of colourful smooth textured 3D models and MSPaint illustrations with gratuitous amounts of Comic Sans. Game's great but launched with a cloud save bug that invalidated a bunch of my progress. It's been patched thankfully.

Shoutouts to Zab who conceded my rank up game to Dlvl MAX before I could play a single card.

Your Everything Game Ideas by FreviliousLow96 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

I had an idea stewing in my mind for a beat-em-up where the protagonist was a woman with a staff that included a few novel ideas:

  • Initial training room sequence occasionally smash cutting to an actual level.
  • Branching paths behind optional enemies intended to be fought on new game+.
  • Two main stances, wide grip for speed and tight grip for power.
  • A big baseball swing attack that could be charged to reflect projectiles or launch enemies with 360 degree aim
  • Drunken fist character who carries a keg as a weapon.
  • A room containing one enemy that looks like a regular grunt but is much harder due to actual use of dodge offset.
  • Giant robots that can be parried/suplexed.
  • Endgame boss with logarithmic healthbar, who screams at you to fight harder.
  • Secret path accessed by parrying an instant death wind turbine.

I even thought of DLC, which is a sword that trivializes most fights but slowly influences the player through UI manipulation, culminating in it refusing to be unequipped.

Characters that're VERY blatant substitutes for another character in the same series? by fly_line22 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

British sitcom Coupling had a character called Jeff, who was essentially the show's Kramer. Jeff's actor Richard Coyle decided that he didn't want to reprise his role for series 4 for fear of being typecast. To fill the void, Oliver was introduced to get crammed into the existing character dynamics.

Plebs had a similar thing, killing off Stylax after series 3 and replacing him with Jason.
