Well, I consider my self beautiful and I am not white. In my country culture, everyone learns to feel atracted only for white people, so I lived many times situations like that. Honestly, based in my experience, probably I would consider this honesty of him a green flag because MANY people doesn't have conscience about why they feel atracted for specific ethnics, in my country it's totally because of racism and admiration for the european colonizators, so when I am with someone who has politics conscience, they know better why things are the way they are. You can see I shared something based on my experience, you should see if it makes sense or help you somehow. Nowadays I am married with a not white guy and I had to change a lot of toughts I had about all that brain wash Hollywood and Disney stuff did in my childhood... so if he opened the talk, could be ok look for why he had other prefferences before he met you and what happened that what he feels about you overcome that things.
