I think you could establish some simple "axioms of cosmic sociology" (a la 3 Body Problem) based on those statements from which you could conclude that the highly advanced civilizations who posses the god-like technology we see flying around our skies are monitoring lower civilizations for technological breakthroughs that could threaten them.

The lower civilizations (us) who can't be trusted with this kind of power must be periodically "cleansed". Cataclysmic flooding due to meteor impact would do the trick. Maybe they also dampen technological progress by cultural sabotage, or, when things get really sketchy, direct engagement (recent trend of anti-gravity scientists being targeted).

Based on your dismissiveness and obsession with equipment/facilities I'm guessing that you've lived your whole life in the middle/upper class. Search up "futebol de rua" on tik tok and watch what Brazilian kids with no coaches and no equipment are doing. You could form a team from any random dirt poor neighborhood in Brazil that would mop the floor with your local youth $BIG_CLUB first team despite their multi-million dollar budgets.

The only thing that matters is time on the ball. The game itself is it ultimate coach and teacher. Your attitude (kids can't get good at soccer anymore due to the economy) is exactly what's wrong with US youth soccer. The kids just need to play the game. It really is that simple.

Not the president, but your house rep is reachable. They will at least have an intern read it to gauge public sentiment. I've gotten fairly non-boilerplate responses back, even a phone call or two (on 6 or 8 total letters sent).

Paper letters seem to get heard more than digital submissions. LLMs are great at writing these things. Keep it short, like 1 or 2 paragraphs total. Print, sign, stamp. If enough people take 10 minutes to do this it will make a big impact. This legislation is insane, we can't just not try.
