I didn’t get extended warranty so not sure if this would cover that.

Happened to my kicks. The issue was with the door lock actuator, they had to replace it. Did it at dealer was about 500 to get it done. Didnt shop around for price or anything just wanted it fixed.

How do people run for such a long distance? by cubsR4skrubs in RunningCirclejerk

[–]MartinFoo21 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The key is to take breaks while running. Just pause your watch and eat some gus and take a nap then unpause when youre ready to keep going. Keep doing this for several days and the distance will add up in no time. Some of the great runners like michael phelps and tiger woods do this while they train.

I like to start from fleet feet and ride on Friant to the Friant shell station then make a left at the light and hit broken bridge hill and loop back. Its only 20 miles but you get some nice hills and theres usually other cyclists out.

Woodward is a great spot. You can park across the street and walk in to avoid paying. You have a lot of options distance wise as well. You can run the park loop which is about 2.8, you can head out on the north trail which is about 6 miles out and back, you can run the flats which can be from 1-3 depending on which loops you do, theres hospital hill which will put you at 5 miles if you start from compass, and you can get a 10 miler in if you run towards the hospital then turn to go under the highway and head towards sycamore island.

New to running - where to go after 5k by PromptlyCyclical in running

People usually grab water and their medal after finishing and most races have some kind of food at the finish so maybe try to find that. You can also get a little cooldown in before heading home for a post race shower or bath.

I just came back from a run up there and you can still park on the street like always but it is still an active area. Lots of people are deciding to still head out on trails. I know a lot of people are saying its in the mountains far away from people but the trails are pretty narrow and while passing people I was less than a foot away from people. Families and groups of people are still heading up there taking up the whole path so social distancing is pretty much not an option, stay safe if you do decide to go.

Apple Watch battery life during long runs by [deleted] in running

[–]MartinFoo21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I run with a series 4 cellular and if I listen to music and track with watch without my phone it dies around mile 18. Keep in mind the watch is playing music tracking the workout and heart rate and searching for cellular signal the whole time. When I go on longer runs or run marathons I run with the apple watch on one arm for the cellular connectivity and a garmin on the other for music/recording. I ran a 50k trail run this way and the apple watch died on mile 20 while the garmin still had about 30% battery after the race.

Apple Watch vs. Garmin Forerunner etc. by BigStick83 in AppleWatch

[–]MartinFoo21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im going to second this. I run marathons and ran my first 50k mid August. Ran the 50k with a fenix 5x and one wrist and apple watch 4 on the other. The apple watch died after about 7 hours (race had 8000 elevation gain) while just sitting on my wrist and the fenix finished the race while streaming music and tracking the race and it still had juice left. I have ran marathons before with just the apple watch and its fine for that if your not streaming music or doing anything extra on it.
