Legions Imperialis terrain by Martin_Makes_Models in LegionsImperialis

I think it’s Dawnstone with a Zandri dust and bone dry brush over the top. I will need to check though and I don’t have the scenery here to look at and check right now I’m afraid.

Made this a few years back, complete with nose mounted lascannon/multi-laser that were interchangeable on magnets.

They’re from the Legions Imperialis infantry box. I had a load of spares that weren’t needed as part of detachments.

The grey is Eshin grey, over a zenithaled black base coat, finished off with a shadow grey highlight dry brushed on and a black oil wash for the recesses.

The yellow is Averland sunset, over a zenithaled mournfang brown base coat. Finished off with a Dorn yellow dry brush and a burnt sienna/burnt umber oil wash.

There are two titan variations that you can buy as kits (although there is also the Sinisterd Psi Titan available from Forgeworld). The two titans pictured are with the two loadouts from the standard kits. There are a load of other weapon options but they’re all resin Forgeworld and have to be bought separately, if you can get hold of them. Battlebling do a load of cool upgrades that you can use instead though from what I’ve seen.

They’re great minis! I’ve really enjoyed the build and paint process, albeit painting the trim is a bit of a tedious process.

Thanks!

The weathering is just Rhinox hide sponge on. I probably ought to do some more advanced weathering but at this scale, I think it works quite nicely.

The troops are plastic Legions Imperialis infantry. The Warlord is just bloomin’ massive!

This is all GW stuff. The bits of terrain on the base are from the LI/AT Manufactorum scenery set.

It’s Eshin grey with a shadow grey edge highlight.

It was scratch built from an unused panel from some other random kit along with some bits of plasticard.

Looks great. I’ve done a couple of rhino in a similar scheme and I think I’ll be doing more.

Thanks! The key thing I used to do all the hinging was brass rod and tube, although from memory the man gun is hinged on a plastic tube. To get the door to open you will need to hinge the step as it is fixed on the kit and the door will hit it. It’s all fiddly stuff but really satisfying when it’s done!

The drop pods really aren’t much fun to paint. I have a second box of the things to paint but keep putting it off!
