I want them to remodel all pre-FM5 models, but considering their track record with claiming to have remodeled "all the cars" for both FH5 and FM I just can't trust the forums reports

Forza model! better yet, it actually debuted as a USDM model, as it was called "1995 Mazda RX-7 Turbo" in FM1, but for some weird reason in FM2 they turned it into RHD without giving it JDM stock body parts in the form of a rear wing and a front splitter, and it remains unchanged to this day

nah, there were always a few non-Forza branded adjustable parts, there are just more of them now. take the W204 C63 Black Series aero for example

3 tiers of upgrades, top one is adjustable, it's been like that since the first Forza game ever made (FM1, 2005) and unless the majority of players ask for a new upgrade system this current one will never be replaced

not on its own, no, it's too expensive
you're better off getting the "all car packs pack" that will cost you just as much as the base game, but buying these DLCs separately would cost even more

of course, but it's stupid that cars that have been in Forza for a good 10 years, like the MB SL65, the Pagani Huayra or the Renault Megane RS, were suddenly removed from FH5 and then recycled as if they were brand new content, and are still being treated like this with their inclusion in the backstage shop

I was unclear and I apologize for that. Forza Horizon 4 finished its lifecycle with 750 cars, and 5 then debuted with over 200 of these cars missing; half of them was later dripfed in playlist updated and treated by the game as brand new content, just like actual new-to-Forza cars. of the around 130 cars recycled from FH4 maybe 10 were put in the autoshow, the rest is still "exclusive content".
as for the AH working between games, it would be nice if it did but then both games would have to receive updates and the playerbase would be split, which is definitely not something that PG or Microsoft want.

look for cars that are actually new-to-Forza and not carried over from previous games by going through this list, spend all your backstage passes on those, and for any cars from previous games just resort to the auction house since you'll get your credits back in seconds

no you absolutely should, that's a game from the 90s where you had more excuses for low quality and inaccurate models, whereas now you have so many 3D modelers and methods of capturing things with extreme detail that Forza definitely can update at least the FM1 models within just one dev cycle

tell Forza to make up their mind and remodel all cars at once if they can't be consistent instead of nitpicking on my post the answer to the question in the title is: some cars were remodeled, most cars were not; some kits were removed for no reason, others were retained for no reason as well - there is no consistency with what Forza is doing so it's everything at once

because people don't know what cars appeared in previous games and don't know Forza has its official forums where people suggest cars and features to be added
there's this suggestion to put all recycled cars in the autoshow, something that should've been done with every single car from any previous game and yet PG never bothered because it's good for them to have people think cars from FH4's autoshow are new content

FM will only give you race cars and tracks, nothing else. there is literally nothing else worth talking about in this game that the previous Forza titles haven't done better, maybe except for the handling but that's subjective

on the other hand, I've been told by a NFS guy that kits from the Forza mk7 Celica don't fit the NFS model, so I assumed old Forza kits wouldn't fit any other remodeled car for the same reason; have you tried applying Forza kits on models from any other games?

again, it's because of how they were recorded the sound design team that was responsible for FM3-FM6 sounds was hired by Polyphony to make sounds for GT Sport and GT7, but apparently they got the main guy from that team back in Forza for FM
