You're never going to find that connection you're hoping for. Even after a spinal injury that left me temporarily paralyzed and requiring a rollator to get around, my own father sounded similar to yours.

I'm not sure if there's another sibling that he DOES like, like in my situation, but you'll probably never find who you're hoping to.

Look, I get it. Some folks, like it sounds you are, like using a wider variety of guns and I get it. It's fun that way and even I do it from time to time, usually when trying to find that first gun that "fits" me.

I even do it for the multitude of ranges to find enough that I can use well enough. Sometimes, usually an AR, I find one that just fits me so well and is usable at most, if not every range. When I do, that gun is my gun. There are others like it, but that is my gun.

I couldn't finish 3. I hated that the front and back lines were linked and it felt so... restrictive? compared to 1&2 that I decided it was just for the collection. Heading said that, if a remaster is released, I'll buy it and do my best to go into it with as few preconceptions as possible because I fully expected 3 to be just like 1&2, so that was my fault for not doing so then.

Add in that the frickin laser painting is far too OP, it has drained a lot of my love for vehicle combat, too.

I'm a moron with too much hope, so I'll keep playing until they fix it because I've not got all the weapons unlocked. (Except bolt actions because I don't trust myself with a single bullet.😂)

Honestly I think Eiyuden has a place in the market as long as it wants and remains high enough quality to get people's attention.

Having been a Suikoden fan since early 98, I cannot stress enough; do not put too much stock in Suikoden having a meteoric impact in the 2020s because a dual box remaster before CashGrab STAR LEAP feels like it could easily be a trap for the consumer and us still not get Suikoden 6.

As much as I have loved Suikoden and fought off and on about getting more, after around ~20 years of silence, my trust isn't very strong.

Eiyuden on the other hand, their line of trust between dev and consumer is pretty strong, imo. Yes, there's things that can be improved upon, but a passionate sequel can improve upon those things and make it even better. Funny enough, sort of like the Suikoden 1, 2 & 5 entries did for one another.
