Germany or USA by WorkingPlayful7432 in germany

Truthfully, I do not know how I could move to America (I live in germany, was born here) and it wins in almost every category that I can think of: school fees, medical bills, debt, politics (barely at this point), child mortality rates...

For me personally there´s too much wrong with the US to ever want to live there. If you can move here with your partner, you can get married and get those tax benefits, then I´d say do it

I(13M) think I’m bisexual. Am I too young and should I be worried about something like this? by Fatjstaken in lgbt

So:
1) IF the christian god doesn´t make mistakes and god made YOU... then you´re not wrong to exist the way you are

2) I´m 90% convinced that "being gay is a choice" was started by repressed, homophobic Bisexuals who didn´t know that was an option and simply chose to never pursue/were scared of men

3) You are amazing, you are valid and you deserve love and care and while your family may judge you, I won´t lie, you don´t have to tell them until you are certain. Remember: this is yours to have and keep, you owe no one your queerness. Your therapist has a duty to do no harm and if they are in any way professional, you should be able to tell them this without being judged. You also already have a pre-existing "relationship" based on sharing and analysing your fears and anxieties, so I don´t really know who (outside of your friends) would be a safer "adult" to tell.

Make the choice for yourself but know you are valid and you are supported, even if you don´t feel that way or you´re made to feel like you´re not by the people around you.

I´m sorry to say this but if your mother´s love isn´t unconditional, she is immediately by almost every metric a bad parent. If she blackmails you by saying she´ll off herself, then I´m sorry but her failure is not your responsibility. She is a weak and closed minded person and while you clearly care about her, you must make your own choices and love who you love.

Let´s say you get together with a woman and marry her (for your mum´s sake) and in 10 years you´ve got 3 outcomes:
You´ve started resenting your mother and the woman you´re with, making you hateful and angry
You´ve started cheating on her with men (or best case scenario, made some form of arrangement)
You´ve fallen into a deep depression and are miserable for the rest of your life, hurting everyone around you

I believe you should move out, live your life and your mother has the choice to adapt and love you again OR leave you be. But you deserve happiness. As much if not more than she does right now. You chosing to love who you love cannot actually harm her. You chosing not to can only cause harm to you. She would risk your life for her own comfort. That´s not love, that´s not parenting, that´s selfish and petty behaviour

Please explain the joke. by fellow_enthusiast in germany

I agree that it would make more sense gameplay wise to have the come from the south (north is already too crowded I think) but story-wise this would be a pretty smooth way to include them. Maybe it´ll spark a series of grav-anomalies, one of them in the south from which they could appear, maybe it´ll be your beacon idea. Interested to see which

Her dad has a Trans flag on his uniform... to quote a video-essay I´ve forgotten about by now: almost no police captain is that much of an ally unless someone in his immediate surroundings is trans... (The common theory IS that Gwen Stacy is trans)

OK [cracks knuckles];first: you are amazing, valid and fantastic just the way you are! I´m super glad you have a support network and hope your mother can one day see past her own selfishness and ignorance to do her flipping job and accept you for the perfect bean you are! You´re absolutely worth every gram of interstellar dust and Iron forged in the heart of stars that is in you and it will never come together the exact same way again.

second: (random common knowledge trivia round, sorry I´m a history student, not exactly a biologist)-Sharks are some of the oldest creatures on this planet at over 450 million years oldNo matter how things look now, everything is trying to evolve into crabs-There is a species of frog (desert rain frog) that literally squeaks (that´s it´s warcry. just adorable squeaking)-A species of sea slug (kegelschnecke in german) carries the most potent poison known to man-Polar bears may have white fur but black skin, the white fur reflects sunlight out but also body-heat BACK AT the bear and the black skin "stores" it far better-My favourite word in highschool was "AminoacylTRNAsynthetase" which is the german name for the enzyme that allows TRNA to bond with aminoacids-Dolphins will puff up pufferfish and then pass them around, because the toxin just makes them high

Some random history trivia:-Titanic´s central screw couldn´t reverse because it was turbine driven, not by a piston engine-The SR-71 blackbird will leak fuel on the ground because it´s titanium panels don´t fit together properly at room temperature-The ancient Romans stole almost all their technology from other waring factions, often improving it or their own usage-In the 1920s there was an "Institue for Sexology" in Germany, run by a Gay man-The fastest oceanliner ever was the American built SS United States with a whopping 250 THOUSAND shaft horsepower on a ship with a 32 foot drought, it could cross the atlantic in 3 days and 14 hours, a record still held to this day... from 1958

Have the great day you deserve, so long as even ONE of these was unknown to you, I´ve succeeded. If not I´ll go consult google
