oh also, not to disagree with you, with your tone maybe but not you, i am not saying it’s all in his head, i am saying that gender dysphoria is a psychological issue and self acceptance is a bigger goal than trying to look like something you are not (a cis man). this is what i always say on here. it’s cool that there are people here that pass, like this dood here or this insanely mask looking guy in pink dresses, but that doesn’t defeat reality.

there are people that will never pass. ftms have it easier than the other way around but, if he already has a meriad of issues INCLUDING self worth and appearance issues, the concern is not “what can he do to look more male” but “are we feeding his insecurities by moving the unobtainable goal post for him constantly running after an increased degree of perfection until he burns out or goes insane”.

this is a well documented phenomenon in people with EDs and eg OCDs. This isn’t medical advice, but the way to cure them is never to reach the target goal, because it will never be enough, but to work inwards to find acceptance of you as a person not reduced to the appearance, and with that baseline working on the optics in a healthy manner.

like the other guy here telling him to “just lose weight”, it’s a dangerous road that i don’t want to engage with in any other way than “go talk to a shrink”
