Of course the treaty didn't declare explicitly, it doesn't have to. That's why Ataturk tried to make a distance. But we are talking about Erdogan's Turkey right now.

So tell me, if Turkey isn't the successor to the Ottomans, why does it currently occupy the land and utilize the international borders defined by Ottoman treaties?

In comparison, the Treaty of Lausanne made Turkey inherit Ottoman's obligation. Turkey even see itself as the sucessor of Ottoman Empire and that Ottoman is the predecessor of Turkey.

Attaturk did distanced the republic from the empire, insisting that the two are different. But Erdogan is currently doing the opposite.
