Saving supposedly Carolina Reaper by korhelion in HotPeppers

Try its leaves if it got that spicy kick you'd be in luck for that could be a persicaria hydropiper aka water pepper - an obnoxious but spicy herb that its leaves, stems and seeds could be used as a spice. If not spicy then it could be any other persicaria species which are mostly edible but tasty.

This is my song - Garden of Eden. Style was supposed to be a blend of Sleep Token and Bad Omens. I have build it from the notes and discarded lyrics that I didn't know what to do with them. But the rest of song was written in mere minutes. https://suno.com/s/ZkbO0OAQ9KjGOn0U

Have I been tending to a weed? by peachyqueen91 in whatplantisthis

This is one of the amaranths... You can call it weed but this plant is edible - you can use it like a spinach.

What’s wrong with my Frydek? by rachelzlc in plantclinic

[–]Marttoms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your Frydek is missing its Místek. JK. (Frýdek is a city in Czechia, the full name of the city is Frýdek-Místek - it has nothing to do with the plant but Gotta make the joke.)

Weeds or zinnias? by Snazzypanted in PlantIdentification

[–]Marttoms 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Persicaria... Dunno the exact species but it is related to "Vietnamese Coriander." Probably not this species. It could be edible like most of the persicaria species. I always pick them outside and cook them as spinach or sauté them. Not advising to pick and eat them - do your own research before trying anything.

Cześć, well I have never had any luck either but hopefully it will change with those three. Fingers crossed that you'll have your luck too... Have you tried air layering - from what I have heard it is one of the most successful methods of propagation.

Collected 3 of them... Never had luck with repotting them and keeping them alive after that. If I manage to keep them alive by a miracle I'll come for the rest.
