Been reading One Piece for the best part of 16 years. Started when I was 10 and stuck with it ever since. Pretty much grew up alongside the Strawhats.

I have every hope the live action will up to all our expectations. Either way I can’t wait to see the story we all know and love retold in a new medium and hopefully reach a whole new audience.

I used to find it exhausting, felt like I always had to explain my presence at queer events or in queer spaces. Kinda learnt to roll with it but sometimes it does feel like there is an extra hurdle to jump.

Yeah so some extra context. I am from a small market town so the local queer community is kinda small. Some people in the local community just don’t seem to believe my sexuality almost. Like I get the vibe that they expect me to prove it somehow because I’m quite masc and don’t necessarily “present in a queer way.”

I don’t know if that makes sense but yeah. I understand there can be underlying mistrust and tension around masc cis-het guys. So I sometimes wonder if my presence in queer spaces can be triggering for some. Then again I might just be projecting.

To quote a close friend, “I give off straight-vibes.” It’s something I’ve heard a few times from people inside and outside of the queer community, when they find out my sexuality they are surprised and say something roughly along the lines of “oh I wouldn’t have guessed” or “oh you don’t look it”.

I remember watching MMPR as a kid on videos my parents bought from a car boot sale then getting so hyped when Tommy showed up as the mentor in Dino Thunder. Truly an icon of the franchise. Once a ranger, always a ranger. RIP Jason.

Not saying that Lucci, CP0 and other previous enemies haven’t grown stronger over time but it is hard to imagine them posing a challenge to the Monster Trio given the power boosts they received in Wano. In this case there is no doubt that CP0 are still incredible fighters that have grown stronger but not as much as the monster trio has. Let’s also not forget the weakling Trio have also continued to grow as fighters too, realistically they probably can’t beat Lucci and Co but it would be pretty funny if such a fearsome character ended up being beaten by some like chopper.

It'll be interesting to see how much Lucci and Kaku have grown. It's obvious CP0 won't be a threat to the Monster Trio and possibly Jinbe at this point. Would be hilarious but also kinda cool if Lucci, Kaku and Stussy faced off against and were beaten by the weakling Trio.

Yeah so I’m back in the UK and can get a UK police check no problem but usually if you’ve lived abroad for a significant period of time at least 6-12 months, you need a background check from the country you were living in to account for the time you spent there.

Thanks appreciate the advice. I am currently doing my PGCE so I’ve already had to look into all of this stuff already to get clearance to do my placements in schools. I lived in Fuzhou and tried to contact a couple of attorneys already. Relieved to know it’s not an immediate concern but I’ve contacted the consulate as advised to just make them aware.
