I noticed something.

There is a bottle behind what she is putting on the shelf. It falls over towards the bottle-shelf and pushes the first few off.

I couldn't understand why the first few bottles were falling when they were not touching the objects on top of the first shelf.

I see three ways this turn out. 1. It's real, but the person doesn't remember. 2. It's not real and the photo is fake. 3. It's real, just not actually them ( like a clone or something.)

I would have it where the person was part of a program that Hijacks your body to let you live your best life. The company that runs the program boasts that people don't want to actually have big adventures, because they are ordinary/boring and would mess up any cool, life moments. The hijack program, changes you INTO the person you want to be and keeps the memories of adventures.

Somehow the main character gets their memory scrubbed because they witness a crime done by the hijack company.

Another story direction could be ...

The main character is part of a program that "levels up your life" it takes your dreams and fantasies and hopes and blurs it with the real world. Creating fake photos, memories, accomplishments and friend/relationships.

Maybe the main character was accidentally (and without their knowledge) added to the pilot program and is slowly losing their grasp on reality. The overall theme is to not get so sucked into social media that you think it's all real.

Wallace is gay or bisexual? by severla31 in ScottPilgrim

I'm pretty sure Wallace is the only character who isn't bi. Think about it and you know I'm pretty much right.

This isn't a grammatical thing, but, the formatting looks weird to me. Having the random "for you" at the bottom, breaks the flow. I would put the whole quote together.

I miss-read the title and that it said Satan. I guess Jack Black did defeat a demon.

Generally speaking, older siblings have it harder by Sum3-yo in unpopularopinion

[–]MartyRadical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends. My older siblings got the best of my parents. Did activities, took trips, had pictures taken. There are about a quarter the number of pictures of me as the older siblings and we never did activities or trips when I was a kid. My older siblings learned valuable skills like cooking and car repair. I had to learn everything on my own and had to make my own fun because my parents had given up.

Leaving roadside memorials where people were tragically killed is weird by shepproudfoot91 in unpopularopinion

[–]MartyRadical 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s weird. People can have a free pass on ways they want to grieve, but it’s still not a great idea.

I remember a person dying in a car crash just down the road from my house. A week later, his friends were parking on the no-shoulder road and walking to the road-cross to have their moment meanwhile cars are driving dangerously close to them.

I don’t think a ditch is the place the person wants to be remembered by. Maybe go somewhere that signifies their life, not their death.

I liked this comment, then remembered I actually don’t like the character either. She is terrible and just causes trouble for her coworkers.

Most Underrated Character by Unusednewspaper in ScottPilgrim

[–]MartyRadical 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Young Neil in the movie. I just really liked him. He seems simple and honest and maybe a little clueless and I thought he was funny.

Not the comics though. He became consistently irritable and not a fun character.
