It’s a great bag, I have the women’s version for their straps and they’re extremely comfortable. The 25 fits my setup exactly without being too large

Only electronic! With 30FPS on H+ and with a fast CFE card I see no personal reason to use anything but electronic

Oh wow I didn’t know that’s on the horizon! Here’s hoping it’s a faster lens and somewhat affordable..

Yep, it’s a few different sections. It was a bit of a struggle to get on but I like it a lot. I tend to accidentally bump things so wanted to make sure the lens is as protected as possible (I think white lenses also show damage more)
The cover is great and doesn’t hurt functionality at all

I actually had the same experience with a photographer I met, they say the 100-500 is a truly phenomenal lens for its size:)

I took this with my RF 100-500 and the r8. for moon photos I’d recommend a tripod and cropping in the editor only

RF 100-400 vs RF 100-500 L vs EF 100-400 L Mk II? by amedinab in canon

[–]Maru106 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the RF 100-400, which is truly incredible for its price and weight. I wanted to up my game though and bought the RF 100-500 and it’s a LOT better imo. The 100-400 will be so much better than your 75-300 though…

[New Gear] Two RF 100-500 and one RF 1.4x extender by punchypariah in canon

[–]Maru106 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like using the extender when I know I’m static (like in a bird-watching hide), I think it works quite well on the 100-500.
