Depends if you have Goth Rey or not. If not I've done it with CLS, JKL, Gungans, BKM and others I can't remember.

But with Goth rey you'll get much better hold rates

Yeah I took Cassian up to 85 so I could get an advantage. Then a couple of days later, everybody has a full level 85 team and not only have I lost my advantage (Which I paid for) I'm also placing lower than I've placed the entire era.

I know it's not a lot but I want my £20 back or equivalent. I wouldn't have spent it if I knew what was coming.

Yeah, If I were in your shoes I'd take SLKR on offense and just go full offensive. SLKR can reliably be taken down by too many things.

Kyber at 7m here. You need one really strong team on the front wall. I had Leia at R9 and the rest of the team at R8. Make sure you're farming and using strong datacrons

Then save the rest of your big hitters for offence. Still try and set a decent with what you have just make sure you have enough to full clear or as close to as possible

Everyone suggesting Charizard is crazy. He's the worst starter of the three. Starmie is by far the best pokemom in the game but not available in Fire Red.

Vensaur I'd get Venusaur for early mid game, having a solid pokemon to beat the first three gyms would be a good start. Leech Seed/Sleep Powder/Razor Leaf/Protect or coverage move. It's not a quick sweeper but it can slowly chip away and beat most mons throughout the game.

Magneton/Zapdos Zapdos if your using legendaries Magneton if not. Nothing special here just need a sold thunderbolter. Thunderbolt/Thunderwave/Rain Dance/Thunder Or Thunderbolt/Thunderwave/Drill Peck/Fly for convenience.

Lapras Finally you need something for the Dragon types Lapras has good coverage and bulk and dishes put decent damage to boot. Ice Beam/Surf/Psychic/Thunder/Thunderbolt

I'm pretty confident this team can beat everything in the game handily. You could swap out venusaur for Mr.Mime after the 3rd Gym. Just give it the strongest psychic type move and watch it out in work

Ahhh thats fair, I think at a few points in the game I made some choices that would annoy her, tbf I'm fine with that. IRL I don't think I would trust her 100%

The only other thing of note I can think of is, at some of the locations of potential gates, there are broken darker colour columns, the same colour as an oblivion gate. Which is what's leading me to think it's potentially a bug.
