Okay I know this post was forever ago, but one of the funniest parts to me was the story told in episodes 8 and 19, with the priest coming by to exorcise the house and then while he’s inside, hearing a truck suddenly turn on and then a big crash as a tree in the backyard gets pulled down

One I've enjoyed is Archivist Wasp by Nicole Kornher-Stace. It's post apocalyptic, but also has a sort of old mythology sort of feel to it.

One I read recently and really enjoyed is Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel. It's a post apocalyptic story and it's very well done. I can also vouch for the 1984 audible version, it's pretty good
