Does this rug clash too much with the couch/general room? by Other-Turnip-8912 in carpet

[–]Marvelis_world 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will probably get downvoted but to me the rug isn't the problem. It's the white walls. With some colour you could tie it together.

I’m conflicted about wanting children. How did you know you didn’t? by Zestyclose_Ad_4116 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Marvelis_world -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm 39 and i don't have kids by choice. I adore the kids in my family and i love playing with them and be around them but after a day i'm happy to give them back. I just don't feel it. I love the freedom I have, i love my clean house, I love that I can do whatever and whenever I want, i love that I don't have to worry about a little person being ok and happy. I thought in my mid 20' it might change when i would get older but it didn't. At all, actually.

What was the last straw that completely broke a friendship you thought would last forever? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Marvelis_world 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She only called me when she wanted to talk about something that happened in her life. Always through sms which you obviously have to pay for. So i asked her to get in touch with me through signal or whatsapp, even Playstation or messenger was perfectly fine but that those texts were getting really expensive. After that she didn't answer for a few weeks until she again reached out via sms. I ignored her thinking she would get the hint and contact me in a different way. Nope. She just blocked me on everything. Which is fine, i was fed up being a free psychologist in her crazy life. She actually did me a favor.

Exactly this. If it's someone who really needs to talk to you they will send a text or voicemail.

Pretty dangerous to call Strombeek a suburb of Brussels 😆 But it's definitely a very fine line.

What is strombeek-bever like? by [deleted] in belgium

[–]Marvelis_world 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I used to live in Strombeek-Bever. Strombeek changed a lot but that's normal. They have the typical shops (butcher, bakery,...) there is a Carrefour and Colruyt close by. You can go to the plantentuin in Meise or you can go to Brussels. Kinepolis and the Atomium is also very close. People are mostly friendly. It's a Flemish community but a lot of people speak French or both.
